What is the general consensus on how much longer?

i am growing 2 greenhouse seeds feminized thai plants. they look markedly different and one is actually one week younger from seed but both are nearly 9 weeks into 12/12 lighting and 8 weeks since they started showing pistils. the older one i have started to see a few amber trichs on but i also see a lot of trichs with no head on them. most of the trichs with heads look clear though i sometimes think i am not seeing through them but just looking at light reflected off them. the younger one does not appear to have any amber trichs. both are foxtailing like you read about.

growing in roots organix soil in 3 gallon felt pots. gobox nutes plus cha ching and snow storm ultra. watering every other day usually as the pots get really light on the second day. temps are between 65 and 80. rh in the low 40's. lighting is 4 4ft high output t5 bulbs(3 bloom and one 10000 kelvin with uv a) and 2 46 watt 2700 kelvin cfls, 2 23 watt 2700 kelvin cfls and 2 6500 kelvin cfls.

i just don't want to let them go too long. the last thai i flowered was 13 weeks into 12/12 but that had started to show pistils about a week before i went to 12/12 and i think i harvested too early. i am thinking another 6 weeks or so. any input is appreciated.

I'd say another 3 weeks considering its greenhouse's thai. I HATE the long flowering periods of that strain!

When you stop seeing new hairs on your bud tops....
Plant will be close....

They should be ready by now. Check your trichs again.

i agree with this, easily a month or so left on them imvho.

i don't see one pix that looks even remotely ready to chop, and honestly look like they've got a good month or so left on them easily.. the one looks a bit further ahead, but i have no idea which pix are which plant or w/e to even try and figure it out, but yeah, lots and lots of time left on them..

thanks for the feedback. i am obsessing now. i am seeing some cloudy trichs and a few amber trichs on the one that does not look all fucked up.the one that is all fucked up is in pics 2174, 74a, 77-79. that one is younger from seed by a week but has the same amount of 12/12 lighting. her trichs are all clear. most of the older growth pistils are amber and some are pulling back into the calyxes but they are both foxtailing a ton. i think i had some lockout going on (or possibly was giving too much bloom nutes) and when i gave them a good flushing, the foxtailing started.

i sat down and took a good, long and slow look at the girls. there are very few cloudy or amber trichs. definitely need a lot more time. i need to come up with a good way of supporting the buds as they are getting too heavy for the stems. first world problems...

may try to use the screens i had for my scrog i did last grow. i didn't like that i could not get the plants out of the tent with the screens though as it made it so i could not properly water them...

bamboo shoots or regular gardening shoots and zip ties is a easy inexpensive way to help your plant support your heavy buds... also it helps pull your tops apart somewhat allowing for stronger yields on your inner plants. just make sure what ever you use to tie them up isnt on the stalks to tight that they wont have room to thicken as your plants grow. they also have formulated products that are designed for producing stronger shoots. fans always help as well.. keep your girls dancing and they will adapt to the constant slight movements by strengthening you shoots. ........
and who ever first said that those plants look like they have another month on them is dead on from what i can see.... always remember tho that the plant is always in a state of mind as if it were out doors in its breading areas natural environment. basically each plant is trying to finish its life cycle before the first frost comes in. when a bud plant is done flowering it will decompose itself and create compost for the fertilized seed to regrow the following season (oh nature lol) with this being said, your plant should be able to show you in multiple ways when its done and not force you to stress over it or feeding charts/schedules. yellowing of fan leaves. milky tricolms, amber or colored hairs, ext.

thanks irie highry. i am trying to be patient with these girls. i am out of town at the moment but plan on trying to tame them in a couple of days. the canopy is really, really dense and i am a bit worried about lack of good air flow/mold. i may need a machete at this point but will give the bamboo stakes a try first. there are a good 15 plus colas on each plant plus a bunch of pop corn. i probably could have planned this better but i didn't. no use crying over crowded buds...
