What is the ideal HPS Light for my little Tent?

I have a 2"x2"x5'3" Tent for Flowering.
I currently have 3 plants in there under a 150w HPS Light.
I doubt that I have the ideal amount of light right-now.
What would be the ideal light for my set-up? 400w?
Thanx!

yeah not enough, when they stretch during flowering that 150 wont be able to penetrate through the canopy. 250 with some tying down and topping, maybe, but a 400 would do it no prob. need good venting though. thats key.

Well a 400w light would be alot of heat in that size tent, I would think you would have to use a cool tube light fixture and have some good venting to keep temps from getting to hot. A 150w HPS puts of about 16000 lumes and a 250w HPS puts out about 29000 lumes, if you are going to to be growing 3 plants the 250w light might be your best option, but if your keep plants short and topped correctly you should be able to do some good with the 150w you have. A 250w HPS is good for 2.5 x 2.5 sqft area.

The plants are Indicas, and I plan to keep them no taller than 3'.

id do duct work into the light and exhaust from the light. like a cool tube setup. than a secondary intake just for fresh air. maybe even a secondary exhaust. good fans are important nothing cheezy. im not sure if computer fans would do the trick.

I won't bother with computer fans.
I currently have a 175CFM inline fan and an oscillating fan, with passive intake.
If I get a 400w, I will upgrade the inline fan as well &/or run a duct from my house a/c into the tent

I would think if you use a cool tube hood and a 6" inline fan @ 400cfm you should be ok with a 400w, I have a 31"x31"x72" tent and use two 4" inline fans @ 165cfm each for exhaust (one venting my 400w MH/HPS and one hooked to a carbon scrubber), I also have 2 small fans inside to keep the air moving, I have a passive intake as well. My temps stay no higher than 75 degrees with the light on.........I wish I would have went with the 6" fan from the go......but I thought one 4"fan would do it.....wrong, temps were 85+ so I had to add one more:( Good luck and enjoy the grow

If you can control the heat, go with the 400, you won't regret it. Intensity = yield, and a 400 would be awesome for that sized area.
