what is the soonest i can take a clone

i want to take a clone and let it develop a root system so i can throw it into 12/12 to see if i got a mother which i can keep in veg for more clones but i don't want to stress the plant to early but giving my plants fresh air is gettin real hard it's starting to get real cold where i live so what's the rule of thumb for this

i hope you weren't implying you were trying to clone the plant pictured above. you need to take a shoot from the plant, perhaps 5 weeks older than the above pictured.

Lmao..... Ive seen clones bigger then that plant.

Need to repot that plant and leave only an inch or so of stem showing. Get the lights closer and a little breeze going. Aside of that, clone when plants are about a month or older.
