WHAT IS THIS AND IS THIS BAD

A guys i was just wondering could anyone tell me why this left looks this way and if this leaf growing into the side of the pot bad? And when is a good time to start bowl training? I have alot of questions if anyone is willing to share knowledge.

I suggest on the next run. Fill the net pots all the way up with the hydroton.

DWC? Any and ALL res. tanks/buckets should be kept below 70F. Root rot can happen overnight! Put the bucket on a piece of foam, get it off the ground. Helps keep it cooler in summer and warmer in winter...

One thing to remember is when the plant gets older those leaves will no longer exist.
