I've had plants that have hermied...and that's that it....they look like banana's comeing out...
What is this on plants?

I meant to say that I have had plants that have hermied on me...and they look like banana's coming out. I didn't see any, so I don't think that's what is happening.

The correct term for the area you are asking is the primordia aka preflower. In your case, its a pistillate primordia since its female...male version would be staminate primordia.
You can actually pollinate pistillate primordia before any actual flowers start forming and have completely unseeded buds and a pair of fat seeds at every node.
