It must be the sativa comming out,,,That's strange the bottom nug's are huge,,,But I have 2 plant's that look like the tip of that? The other's are stickey Indica's. Help this man and me?

Looks like a phenotype anomaly. Makes little difference what is responsible for this growth pattern unless you are breeding. No way to correct it anyway. Let it rip and see what happens would be my suggestion.

Looks to me like it is bolting. I would say that it is caused by poor genetics but that is only my opinion, there is very little scientific research done on what hormones are causing growth like this in marijuana. I would watch it very closely from now on to make sure it did not hermie on you and ruin anything else around it. When lettuce bolts, it goes in to seed and is finished. I recommend pinching the branch at the top at the least to stop any more growth from happening.

While both lettuce and cannabis both "bolt" when they are nearing the end of their life-cycle, the similarities end there. Genetically speaking, the closest living relative of cannabis is actually strawberries (Fragaria). Looking at the rest of the plant in the photo, the flowers appear normal and robust. If you pinch out the flower that has the odd growth pattern it may stress the plant even more resulting in possibly a greater chance of homomorphism.

so basically dont touch it, and then snip off that "bolt" during trimming? i have a few clones of this super silver in flower, so it will be interesting to see if they end up doing the same thing. damn near everyone told me it wasnt getting enough light, but i always questioned that because it was a 100w in a 4x4 tent. anyways thanks for the input guys. we are all a little wiser now.

got any new pics? i was talking to a friend about this thread, he thinks it could be caused by the lights being too close. i didn't think that was much of an issue with sativas. i would think that if its not getting enough light the whole bud would be stretched out rather than one little branch at the top.

i can take pics when the light comes on, but close lighting could be the culprit. i had the plant in a 4x4x8 grow tent for a while, and i couldnt raise the hood over the plant... it was too tall, so i put it to the side and let residual lumens handle it.

odd thing is, that this super silver wont finish. its on week 11 and theres hardly any orange pistils.

check your trichs man, those hazes can keep producing white hairs for ever. depending on the pheno, it could take quite a bit longer to finish. the Haze cut i had a few years ago went 12 weeks and had almost no orange hairs when we cut her, but he trichs were very cloudy and quite a bit amber (i still picked at 50% amber back then, :wall: )

did only that plant send up weird growth?

yeah, it was only this one plant that started doing this. im wondering iff the single seed centre gave me a knock off seed, here.

heres a lot more pics i just took. trichs are cloudy, just turning, but theres no substance to these huge buds. im thinkin my bubble bags are gonna get a workout.
