What Justifies Breaking the Law?

Most of us break at least one law on a regular basis, be it speeding, not stopping at a stop sign, growing illegally :weed: lol, whatever.. What is it in your mind that 'gives you the right' to break some laws?

while i tend to agree, both of those scenarios are totally subjective. some people consider stealing from a corperation a "victimless crime" but many would disagree. some consider prohibition to be "unjust" but plenty disagree. i think if obeying a law could cause someone's death, or loss of property/money, it should be disobeyed in the interest of true justice.

If I harm someone there is a victim. If I steal, and someone loses 1 penny, there is a victim...

"wrong"...another subjective term. it's never "right" to steal anything, but in some circumstances it's understandable. stealing from the rich just because they are rich is just as scummy as stealing some of someone's crop just because they have "mad plants". stealing for food or shelter or whatever, while still wrong on some level, is understandable. fucked as it sounds though being poor doesn't make anyone owe you anything, so in the big scheme a thief is a thief regardless of their motivations. maybe you're a cunt because you stole from me, and maybe i'm a cunt because i wouldn't share. i still don't owe you and you're still a thief, and i'm still a cunt. maybe we're both wrong.

Not to jump off topic, but you sir have just outlined the problem with organized religion.

'right' and 'wrong' are subjective, 100% correct. Apparently, if many of us can break the law and not think anything much of it, they seem to be pretty subjective too. After some thought, doesn't it seem like we should really only have objective laws? Things that are outlined to be 'right' or 'wrong', no exceptions? Murder, rape, things like that, I'm pretty sure no rational mind would argue either of those are OK under some circumstances, so why don't other laws represent that?

My justification is if I'm not physically hurting anyone else or may possibly hurt anyone by breaking a law... then I'll break it with no second thoughts.

This pretty much just means smoking and growing a little cannabis...

I always drive 5-10 under the speed limit, stop for 2 seconds at stop signs, etc... I love taking a LONG time to get someplace because to me, life is possibly way too short to be zipping around places, I enjoy the ride.

Police,,,Have Discresion,,,If they decide to use it is at there discresion,,,That's why you hear all cop's are not bad,,,and that's the truth IMO,,,Some understand other's are all about the Book,,,and that can be Hell.

is it wrong for me to sleep my your mom? No lol but doesn't mean i would do it because then i have to worry about you and a bunch of other shit. laws mostly today are made so that we either have to pay into the tax system like drivers license or taxes, but most laws are the reason of someone being a victim of it.

it makes you a hypocrite without a leg to stand on in your own defense. if it was so wrong for them to kill your kid, surely it's just as wrong to "kill them back". the idea that your killing is retaliatory and therefore just is again subjective.

Even if everyone in the community voted on it? Would it then be subjective? Similarly, we instated the death penalty state by state, people of each state voted accordingly, is it still subjective if the majority of each state votes to uphold it?
