I got a female named buffy she is 120 lbs pretty big for a female her dad was 152lbs,,huge.. tried to breed her 2 years ago and the stud gave her a disease and only had 1 stillborn,, vet said i had to get her fixed or if she got prgnant again shed die..so had to fix her,, i wanted to sue the people who owned the stud, almost lost her giving birth to the stillborn.. but shes all better now, still best breed ive ever owned,,,and dont you just love the slobber!!!lolNice! Dont know if you hunt, but my girl goes into the woods and brings me back antlers in spring time..these dogs are great for just about any job, retreiving,hunting, and great at hide and seek.. busts my friends that have buds in their pockets,,lol true storyNice! I got lucky with my two. neither of them slobber that much.
The female(Bella)only weighs about 105-110?. She was the runt of the litter.
And, just has not filled out. In fact, her head is not that big for a french mastiff at all, Oh well
Rex, the male, i haven't weighed him in about a year. I'm guessing he's......140? You could say he was sort a runt also.Both parents are pure-bred too. But it's a trip how that old breed is all over the place. They should all start looking like Hootch, now that they are Recognized by the AKC, and have a
Standard now.
I've never taken them hunting, but fishing, all the time. Everyone gets a kick, out on the river, from them playing/barking with the salmon on stingers. Hillarious.

Do you get compliments on yours all the time?? its like people are always asking, what kind of dog is that? i guess not too many people have them.. id definatly only buy a registered one as they look exactly alike however they all have their own personality..very happy, outgoing dogs.. i dont know what ill do when she goes, thats why i bred her to get another one of her, personaliy wise or bloodline whichever, but shes 5 now so i should have another 5 or more years with her hopefully.. they say the breed can have hip problems, but my girl can jump 4 feet w/out a wimper so her hips are still good for now..but damn does she eat! i only buy food with glucoseamine and omega3 fatty acids so i pay $40.00 for a 40lb bag that she gobbles up in about 10 days,,, i couldnt imagine what you spend feeding 2..I got lucky with my two. neither of them slobber that much.

they will eat you into debt.lol...im going to chicago next week to get a bullmastif for my wife, she is jelous cause buffy doesnt listen to her and growls at her.. she is my dog and she lets people know it! she wont even take food or treats from anyone but me..i told her the new dog will end up liking me better too,and she gets pissed.. all the dogs we have had all ended up being more atached to me,,,i say its cause she is always yelling,,, i said shit if i was a dog i wouldnt like your loud ass either..lol

Great water dogs to, i live 12 miles from lake superior in the up of mi. she loves the water..and mud unfortunatly,, but it is funny she is covered in mud and its like she smiles at me,,like sayin what did i do wrong??
