What kind of cannabis is this?

I'm new to cannabis. Can anyone tell me what kind I have? I hate smoking it. I am growing it to make edibles. I would like to know the possible effects, etc. I don't know whether I have a sativa or indica or some kind of hybrid. Any general guesses would be appreciated.

It looks like a weed plant to me.

You have to wait to see whether it's female or not before you can determine anything about effects.

What u got there is some good old fashioned "skunk" weed! Hard to tell what phenotype.

your plant is definitely a indica dominant strain. pretty hard to tell much else about it at this stage other than it looks nice and healthy. i'm curious, how is it that you know nothing about it? from seed I'm guessing? did it just show up under your pillow?

I got it from a friend. Just some random seed leftovers. Cannabis isn't really legal in my state, so I don't have access to any fancy cannabis strains.

Yep, definitely that strain. My eyes don't lie.

sometimes we get lucky and get a good strain from unknown seeds but not very often because of all the variables (like what type of male pollinated the mother). I would clone it, then force flower the one you have now to better determine what you have, then either kill the clone or grow it a full cycle if it seems worth it.

I aint trying to load that pic, there are characteristics unique to strains of cannabis. Sour strains for example, afghan..etc
Unless its a landrace its really only possible to guess at the parents. Not exact named strain like pre whatever date sour d or some bull
And you can only tell so much without bud structure etc.

Just saying.

The sarcasm and posts made it seem that nobody could tell progency period. Even in veg you can learn alot by structure, growth, leaves and rub the stem for smell.
Coffee smelling cannabis doesnt originate in Thailand africa or say columbia. It comes from one region only. Like most cannabis traits.
