so i run a 1000 watt in a 4x4x7 grow tent the temps stay at 70-72 during the day tat night 66 but during the day my humidity is 66% and at night it spikes up to 80% i wanted to get hydrofarm active air dehumidifier
Our dehumidifier will extract up to 43 pints of water per 24-hour period.Pull up handle for easy carrying Water level detection and automatic shut-off Time can be set for 2, 4, or 8 hours. Adjustable air outlet Optional continuous drainage. Removable front-loading water tank. Washable, activated carbon filter.

but when i talk to the lady at the hydro shop she told me to get this one

ideal air 50 pint dehumidifier
Easy-to-use digital display panel with humidity readings. 2 gallon reservoir. Removable, washable filter. 3-speed fan motor. Durable easy-to-clean surface. Heavy-duty compressor. The Ideal Air dehumidifier has a built-in defrost system that is designed for operation down to 45¡F. Automatic shut-off when reservoir tank is full.
Power: 5.3 Amps/612Watts

so the only problem i had with the one she told me to get is that it takes 600 watts to power thats like running a second light and it takes 5.3 amps so i am thinking it would overload my circuit breaker and the hydrofarm only runs 300 watts and use 3 amps

so which one do you guys think would work best for my grow tent

I would check out ebay sure the one's that your looking at are quite pricey. I bought a refurbished Ge 45pint off ebay last year for$80 including shipping works great no problems, has 2 speeds has continous drain if hook it up or has built in bucket adjust on humdity level that you set and digital % display. What one of those cost from the hydro store about $300 maybe more maybe little less.

I have the ideal air 50 pint. Used for two weeks last year (Harvest)
And now clones vegging and the ideal air 50 pint has died with just under 30 days of service.

$330 and its fucked.

The hydro store said bring it in and put it in the huge pile of not working brand new under warranty Ideal air 50 pints and 60 pints!
They are not good for growing and I don't know why they advertise with sunlight supply! They are not for growing! They cant withstand 24 hour a day service!

They suck ball sack and my room is way over 50% now and by noon its going to be the perfect levels for powerdie mildew while my ideal air is being send back and "Checked out" but im welcome to buy a replacement for $330 because after all
you need a backup, imagine if it breaks during harvest season and last year it was a 2 week order because every ones ideal air products were breaking all at the same time.

NOT A GOOD PRODUCT FOR GROWING, it might be ok for little Suzie's and johnnies nintendo room but not for your precious plants.

I have a huge commercial grade ideal air 50 pint and its heavy and its in my car right now to be recycled.

And FUCK ideal air.

For a 4x4 grow tent thats a beast seems more ideal for a basement. In my opinion you can grab dri-z-air or a couple damp rid buckets and get the same effect and save on power..
