catering/events.

if she's hot she can work as a brand ambassador at trade shows.

avg pay for a catering position at reputable companies is around 15-20 per hour + tips. brand ambassadors (the hot ones) get 25 per hour or more.

waiting tables ain't no picnic, it's hard work and the tips are iffy at best.

unless you're in a large chain restaurant, or at wolfgang pucks'.....and even then the pay is very volatile. the average pay of waiters isn't 8.50 per hour b/c the tips are always great...

i waited tables for a long time and there's nights you pull 300-500. there's days you pull 20. you just never know. it's also a very hostile environment if the restaurant isn't well managed..... if she can't handle high school a busy restaurant might be too much for her...

A blow job? ;)

Seriously, she needs to get her diploma. At least around here, even most menial jobs require one. Not having one will guarantee she will be stuck in the lowest paying, shittiest jobs

I know this sounds kind of trite but it's true. The only limitation is her own determination. Even in this economy she can get one or two shit jobs and work on finding something that pays better or attend school at night. The question is, how bad does she want it? Hard work and perseverance will be the only way to survive. Build up a strong work ethic. Do more than expected. Keep a good disposition. Don't worry about what other employee are/are not doing. Concentrate on your work and do a good job. Bosses and headhunters notice this.

Have you notice how about half of the answers start with : " Is She HOT?" The sad truth is that it is really easy for a good looking girl to find an entry lvl job just about anywhere.

not to mention a whole career for looks << Modeling, Pageants, ect.

Tell your cousin, learn how to do real work- work on a farm!

It'll nurture physical strength, independent thinking and and a work ethic that will prepare you for anything.

Paper round, car washing, babysitting, sales assistant...

Has she any talents? If you don't ask, you don't get. Both my mother and I have gotten alot of arts and media based jobs by showing up with enthusiasm and a good portfolio. In this economic climate, the best way to let an employer know you're a keeper is to show them. Prove it.

Tell her to go beg for an internship/apprenticeship if she has to. Jobs don't land in your lap everyday and at least you'll get your foot in the door.
I've been babysitting my niece since she was about 6 months old (shes about 18 months now). Watching kids is fun and nerve-wracking at the same time. I wouldn't say I love it, but I love the extra money I get from it.

If she is a highschool drop out I would strongly encourage her to at least get her GED. Dropping out of highschool is pretty much a brick wall in the job market. The military could help her obtain a GED but I'm pretty sure a HS Diploma or a GED is needed before you take the ASVAB test.

Every job I've gotten or applied requires proof (diploma) of HS graduation

I just don't understand why kids drop out of High School. It's so easy to get through, especially in comparison to the real world, college, jobs etc. its a piece of cake
