can anyone tell me what type of light this is and how well its goin to work?

Its a CFL of some sort and if length is any indication its one of the higher wattage ones. Also appears to be in the 6000k color range. Anything beyond that is pretty much impossible to determine.

Depending on wattage it will get you through several weeks of vegging I would imagine.

looks like a 150 or 200 watt cfl. If its about 14 inches in length its definetly is one of the two. If the spectrum suits your growth phase you should pull about 20,ooo lumens out of that one light!!!
