sorry about the quality, i took them in store with my mobile phone.

price to this 250w were about ~20 dollars.

they got the same with 400w for ~50 dollars.

its hard to believe that HPS can be so cheap, thats why im asking... hm.

my 400w HPS bulbs were 30 a piece
400w HPS - MH conversion bulb was 35 a piece

it looks it but it does say HPti or whatever it was search the companies website

hmm, everyone is writing about buying 400 HPS for ~ $100 to $200 from ebay.. whats the deal with that?

That bulb is a 400 watt Metal Halide bulb.

What you hear people refering to as the $100 HPS lights on ebay are complete systems that come with the ballast, bulb & reflector.

Correction,as the box says the bulb is 250 watt .

light im holding in hands:

ok, so that sucks. ballast? cant i just buy needed rosette and connect it to electricity?

Looks like a SOX light which is a low pressure sodium. And your not supposed to touch those. I have handled many of these and they love to blow up when they have been touched. Not good for growing if I am not mistaken.

ok, i searched on ebay for ballast, now i know :)

ya, ~4500 spectrum dont go for plants.. :/

Since you got your grubby finger prints all over it, wash it down with 90% or higher alcohol before using. Quartz glass doesn't like the oils in your hands.
