What kind of PPM meter should I get?

I bought cheap ones like that for few years, and replaced them on yearly basis. Then I bought a BlueLabs and was the last one I ever needed, bit more expensive but they are worth every penny. Never calibrate, I do check them but dead nuts on.

...if you try to cheap out it'll end up costing you way more in the long run, follow the advice given by BigBuddahCheese and get a Bluelab, ...and i'd bet he means this one which is more money up front but this is brain-dead simple to use, it's reliable as hell and will be for years, plus, it needs no special calibration fluids or any special care, ...this was definitely money i don't regret spending, ...and it only hurts when you're reaching into your pocket, once you own it you'll be glad you have it and the lousy hundred it cost you won't mean a thing.

...you're welcome and it only hurts when you pay man, so you'll be unhappy once but you'll be happy many, many times over the life of this meter, which has a 5 year warranty btw.

I have had this Bluelab meter for around 6 years; I must say, I have never had an issue with it.

I've got a cheap sunleaves that's doing me good. Not waterproof but dropped it in the drink twice and the 2nd time it stopped working (hurried and ordered a nice bluelab), but after a good dry I tried it again and it started working. Now I've got a nice $100 bluelab as a backup for when my $40 sunleaves finally craps out

Ya as long as it's accurate and you don't need to calibrate every other time. I factor in quality, precision, and ease of use in cost factor when I benefit from it.I've got a cheap sunleaves that's doing me good. Rocked the Hanna TDS pen for about a year before moving to a continuous hanna combo, the dark blue; forget the model number.
There are two, one on .5 CF, one on .7- luckily my pen is adjustable from 0.4 - 1.0. WOO!
I go according to ppm for the record.
My continuous checks my pen and my pen checks my cont.- first time calibration of the two at 1500ppm solution on November 8th (2012), and they are literally within 5ppm of each other, every time.
Very satisfied.
Think the pen was 60 with solution, cont was 120. Worth it.
Been keeping my eye out for a BL continuous, would love to see what their tech has to offer.

I have a cheapy 20$ Hanna... works like a champ. I've been using it for 6 months... 2 grows. I believe it is better than the one you linked in the OP.
It can be hard to come up with a bill to drop on a meter your first grow after buying all the other shit you have to have.
