What kind of soil mixes are available in Australia for outdoor growing?

Thanks Buzerek. SO you're saying they sell Canadian peat moss in Australia? Would you recommend coco coir also? Cheers for your suggestions! I'll pass that stuff on.
I am not saying they sell Canadian peat moss in Australia, I respond to the post regardless where it comes from.
My point is Grow mix industry is misleading gardeners saying peat moss is "too acidic" or "it breaks down" to sell their garbage made from "forest products" and all king of trash charging arm and and leg for it. The most expensive mixes contain some peat moss anyway, somehow they can not do without it.

Any "organic" compound will break down including garbage they push. Peat moss is still the best organic medium there is, it is antifungal, fairly sterile, and much cheaper than all mixes they push on unsuspected growers who think they are buying holy grail growing medium, in fact they are buying overprices recycled trash.

Obviously pure peat moss is too acidic to use it straight and has to be amended with other ingrediends. So it is not an "instant gratification" product, just a base for an awesome and affordable mix if one wants to pursue this route.

I,ve been using peat moss over last 30 years of gardening, long before I started grow weed, and was never disappointed.

I have no opinion of coco, I never used it, it is more expensive than it should be.

Now for my hydroponic grow I am looking for mapito. It's been proven and widely used in Netherlands, there is no question that our Dutch friends know how to GROW any GREEN shit for centuries.....

Any other Aussies out there who can help point me in the direction of a base soil (alternatives to Canna Terra) to be amended in to a super soil for outdoor use in pots?

Can anyone recommend any particular brands of compost/soil from Bunnings that aren't too course, too high in acidity and loaded with wood/bark chips?? Or should I just bite the bullet and go the Canna with a bit of Coco in there too?

Would love to get someone else's opinion.

I've just bit the bullet so far as my base soil goes and bought the Canna Terra. I've found most of the stuff on the list of ingredients for Subcool's super soil recipe plus I've got a couple of other things not on the list for good measure (particularly this marine based fertiliser and microbiological mix I found at Bunnings called 'SeaMungus') which I figure will create a similar blend something akin to the Fox Farms Ancient Forrest blend.

I've got a few other amendments from Bunnings like Blood & Bone, volcanic rock, worm castings, perlite, dolomite lime etc. Got some microryhzae powder from the hydro shop just because I'm about to transfer seedlings and need it now as I don't have the time to wait for a delivery after ordering it off the internet. Just got one or two other things left to get then I'm ready to get mixing.

Where should I look for bat guano?? I've read that it's not even all that necessary.

The super soil recipe is here...

Have you considered turbo dirt from the Indoor soil company? A complete water only soil from the bag. I've had multiple mates use the stuff and it gets them around 10-12 weeks water only.
