What kinda yeild can i expect from 12 plants under a 400 watt hps 4x4 room?

I have 12 plants all indica all 1.5 ft tall , was going to start flowering, should i let them get bigger or start flowering soon?

should have flowered long ago under a 400, liek at 8 inches or so. you dont have the light power to be that tall. a 400 only has full lumens for about 18 inches total then each inch or so it drops by 50%. pretty cramed for 12 plants under a 400 also. i havew 4 x 600 and 15 just fit......properly

sure , i use 10 litre and i can only get 6 under, id imagine the ones on the edge are going to be ropey......if you did 6 in a cab i reckon between 6-14 oz wet per plant, i can get that going 12-12 from seed so with a bit of veg no problem.

its all about light coverage, i say you just dont have enough, they going to get much taller yet

your getting almost 1 pound under a 400 and from seed???...how...minimal veg???

i start them 12-12 under 250 watt enviro in a cab that it only just fits by folding the hood a little, i keep them in 13 cm pots transfer them under a dual spec 250 watt hps, then when they show hairs i put them into 10 litre pots under a 400 watt hps in a purpose built cab, its mostly about picking the right strain, grapefruit, thc bomb, northern light, white shark and my own breed bubblebomb which is thc bomb x bubblegum all work well.

this all sounds more than a minimal veg time to have the time to transplant. what do you concider minimal veg then and are you weighing the whole plant stump and all?

i dont veg as such, they go straight on 12-12 and my plants this time started to bud at 2 and a 1/2 weeks old, i only weigh the bud and not the main stem, im talking 6-14 wet each not dry.........i expect to do better now as ive started using coco .

hate sayin this but i find that hard to believe to get that yield without veg time...even under a 1k, but then 6 to 14 is a huge range difference. so what is dry weight

1 and a half to 3 and a half, the largest have always been my own breed,check my albums, take a look at the bubblebomb and new 12-12 from seed album, not all strains work, some are titchy.

ya i did...how big of clones to you start with then cause that way more than a 12/12 from seed. the most exp guys cant even get that with a norml veg time and 400 from the beginning and you start off with 250 watters. im not callin you a lier but id think your leaving out some info here.

hey man no probs if you dont believe it i got nothing to prove, most people never try 12-12 froom seed or if they do they pick the wrong strain and get put off, i dont use clones i thuink they are naff, grapefruit that im doing now are supposed to be put on 12-12 after 1 week but i did it from day 1, pics will be posted in album during the coming weeks, try 12-12 from seed you never know you may like it.

no norml pmkant is suposed to go 12/12 that young. they arent even mature yet for a few weeks. and makes for week weed if you dont allow them to mature right, and especialy grap[efuit being a sativa dom takes even longer
yes ive ran from seed at 12/12 and clones and dont get near that and been at this for over 20 years...thats why i find it hard to believe

ill wait n see a full grow from start to finish like this and see what it does.

hey man dont get it wrong i dont end up with 6 x 14 oz plants, could be 3x6 a 7 a 9 and a 14 which only totals 48 oz or 12 dry., was your 12-12 grow in a confined purpose built cab so all light was trapped, what strains have you tried 12-12 from seed ? did you use any enviro, dual spec hps?

um..my room so far hjas cost 10k. ya its sealed and all the best of equipment. any room must be light proof or it wont flower correctly. dont recall the strains but that dont matter. they only got about 1/4 oz each. waste of time, no where near what i thought you claimed. all i ue is hps. mh is a waste iof time these days

ok like i said...soemthing didnt add up..so now its total from all plants that you get that weight???..makes more sence. i was reading it as each plant pulled that weight

cool and like i say strain is everything, some would only give you a quarter, im going to build a list of the viable strains. i use an envirolite to start, gives tight nodes, both cabs are also as compact as they can be with twin inline exhausts for plenty of air flow, diy prob 500 quid total, you shaw spent a packet, must be pulling some weight each grow
