What light do you use for your 4ft x 4ft?

I'm stuck in the past and still rocking a 600 watt HPS in my 4x4 flower tent. I use it with pride and have no intention of replacing it anytime soon. It gets the job done and does a good job doing it. I don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on an LED to replace it. I'm not in the race for the latest light. I'm growing cannabis and doing just fine with the equipment I'm using. A 600 watt HPS does a great job growing good yields of dense potent flowers. I don't give a damn what the haters have to say about it. If they want to replace my light with a comparable LED I'll give them my address and they can send me one.

Looks dank, yeah 480w leds perform about like a 600hid in terms of yield and quality ime. And the 120w ain’t a huge difference on running costs unless you run a few of em. I don’t regret the switch though one was free and the other was $280 or 285.

What ya using for your 4x4 grow?

I can't spend $700 on a light so I'm hoping to get some budget suggestions :)

I'm running a mix of a horizontal cmh and diy cob led. I'm getting pretty good results on a low budget.
I already had the citizen cobs from a closet grow when I added the 4x4 tent.
The 315 cmh isn't enough for the 4x4 and two would be hot. Until I have time or money to upgrade this works ok with a better light spread than many regular 4x4 lights.

You could get 4 100w led panels… or 5 and have full coverage as well as being able to raise and lower individual panels for different plant heights…

Alibaba, kingbrite brand, i use 240 watt boards is the cheapest option, comes with meanwells, samsung boards and leds. Prob the cheapest way to get quality leds. In the long run not buying hid bulbs, leds will be the cheapest option.

what size room/tent you growing in? How many plants? That does look like an impressive light but not cheap

Hi BPB!

I grow in a 4'x4' tent, 4 plants that I topped 3.5 times to get 12 colas for each plant.

The light kicks ass! I paid $$$$ for another top of the line light and it doesn't produce anything like the Scorpion Diablo. My yield increased 40% with the diablo, with 4 clones testing.

As far as price - ask for a discount, and wait for them to get back to you. I saved a few hundred dollars doing this.

Good luck, I hope you get a SD, you'll be very happy!

Scorpion Diablo rocks!!
I haven’t harvested under it yet, but so far it is amazing the spread and how low I can run it close to my canopy and just dim appropriately

my area is 4x4-5x5 but I don’t use every inch of space for plants in there so more like a 4x4 total area

What kind of heat does that light put off? Just seeing if I will need to vent it out of the room or not.

Growing in an area without insulation in 4x4 veg tent (I just gave away). Im so glad I hoard my old light systems that can I change around depending on weather. 150w cmh downlights are my favourite in my collection for supplementing led. Also 400w hps to supplement in middle of winter.

The 4x4 flower Tent in the same area is usually gen 2 bxeb strip arrays all year around with either heater or evap.one half has two 2ft arrays and other half a 4ft long array. I usually adjust the array for tall plants at the back and short plants at the front. The tall plants get the benefit of catching light on their sides that comes from the lower front arrays.
