What Light to Complete Set-up? Already have 1000 watt hps

Hi all, long time reader first time post, the advice on this site has been very helpful. Need help working out my 2nd grow. I have a 1000watt hps for flowering. What would you recommed as the best match for a vegging light?

I'm thinking wither 400 mh, 600 mh, or a T5.

I'm going for efficiency on this, I dont want to be wasting watts on light that isnt being used. This is only my 2nd grow so I'm not sure exacty how much room for vegging I'll need.

Please be specific answering, or I'm bound to have more questions than answers.

I'm flowering under 1 stationary 1000 watt hps, how much room should I have for veg? What light would best the best match? and if its a T5 how many feet and tubes and spectrum would you pick?

To be honest, I would use the 1000w hps for vegging as well. I don't know how much you pay for electricity, but I doubt that the extra cash you'd pay for the 400 or 600 extra watts would be enough to cover the extra cash spent on the ballast and bulbs for a 400 or 600 watt light.

Well the thing is I'm setting up the 2nd room so I'll have a continuous grow. So idealy I'll have two lights running all the time. And I know the bigger the watts the faster the grow. But thats not what I'm looking for, since I'm already having the 1000 watt for flowering deffinately looking for a lower watt to veg.

how much are u growing and whats the space youll be taking up with ur plants? 6 plants...... 20 plants?

How big is your veg chamber?

Space really isn't an issue, I'm doing all growing in a 13' by 20' room. So once I decide on the light, I can section off whatever space it will cover and make a tent. By flower time I plan on having 9 plants in 3 gal buckets, all in soil. Also ventillation is also a non issue, I have a squirrel thats more than enough cfm for a 2nd light. I currently have it on its lowest speed for my one light.
