What light to get?

what LED to get?

I've been leaning towards this one on the upgraded scale:
IMG_0114.JPG IMG_0115.JPG IMG_0116.JPG
While only consuming 400 watts actual power, coverage will cover my entire 2x4 tent and have roughly 3 feet for plant growth.

Currently I'm running cfl which they're enough of to get some good growth, they really like this LED I got better as this tiny little plant is almost the same size that's sitting under CFL. Less time, like the results of this tester LED so here's what I got, it's 45w but it's actually consuming 36watts.

What LED should I get that could actually match close to the one I have, larger scale.... or what's the better larger LEDs to get? Is the one I want suitable?

I wouldn't really like to spend more than 450$ on a light, preferably if it will cover my entire tent with optimal light, ultimately controlling my heating issue to.

Check out cobkit.com 50w a sq ft is average max with modern LEDs. Hes very friendly and can help you get the most bang for your buck. I would say to look into his led engine section on his website. Hes also a member here. Good luck

What sort of money you want to spend first?
The go from there...
As I mentioned I'll go up to 450$ there's a lot out there for this amount, so what to upgrade to from CFL, like all these lights honestly are probably good enough to get from seed to havest, yields will also vary, but I'm not looking to max out on yield, rather have enough efficient light for the entire tent under 1 light preferably, and more preferably under a low heat output unit.

Lol, I'm sure you'll go blind or have permanent spotting in your eyes if you stare at them for a minute. I've tried the blurple leds before, and my buddy is running a viparspectea 450 right now and in my honest opinion, it's weak as shit compared to my cob setup. Do it right the first time around.
I looked at the lights and it's all parts! DIY!!! Like I get this could be the cheap way of doing lights but I'm not that good with buying expensive stuff and trying to assemble it together to create a light,
All though the aspect is cool seems outta my league for what to buy, how to assemble it.... means more time looking stuff up, etc. I almost was looking for plug & play.

But what's the lights spectrum & stuff like for these lights? How do you even know what to get?

i dont want to turn anyone away, but if kits arent your speed try tasty, hlg, plc, etc. any of those are fine solutions which are better than the fixture you listed

I'm not saying the kit isn't my thing, DIY is fun! But prices on it are a thing when your not sure anything about it, I might have heard of this brand however I never knew these lights could be made to your own specifications just about! I'd need help & research to do something like this.

Just my perfernce on light color, it's nice seeing the plants under "blurple" light (blue and reds)

That's a silly reason to choose a grow light. I find blurple lights to be frustrating in the grow room. It's harder to spot deficiencies and strains the eyes. Look into the companies cobkits recommended. You will wind up with a much better product.

How is what I decide silly?
Have you read everything I've said?
I already got good results coming under that 45w LED, it shines kinda blue/red/purple look and it's not as intense as the white light, either way you'll just about need eye protection from these lights achieving 50watts/sqft minimum. And I only want 400watts for the tent, so 50watts per sq ft.
I won't mind choosing another light if I knew how it works along with seeing the spectrum compared to these spectrums. And getting these cobkit lights like I keep saying I know nothing about, you have to build it yourself, show me what I'll get for the best light set up for the money I'm spending, 450$ probably more closer to after tax, so 400$ on the fixtures and etc.

However, I still need a light that is low heat output if these suggestions are "lower heat than a 400Watt HPS" and getting me my 50watts per sq ft, along with having only 1 fixture preferably so I don't need to adjust 2 separate lights.
I would also like to add that the fact some of you guys are advertising for your company, I get that, so you'll push me away from these options I've looked at even though I'm getting told I'll be pleased with my results, lights are lights, as long as you get 50watts per foot, and the plants like the light and it's in my price range, I'll be likely to purchase the lamp

You should educate yourself about lighting.. Don't spend any money until you do.. I almost made the same mistake..

I guess I misunderstood. I thought you were saying you preferred the aesthetic of blue red light "the way the plants look under them". If you're happy with what you've got than go for it. The companies posted by cobkits: tastyled, hlg and plc make more efficient full spectrum cob lighting in pre-built packages that may work for your budget. Check them out. I strongly disagree that light is just light.

The timber light j Lawrence posted is fully constructed, and $100 under your budget. That suncloak light looks pretty bad ass too. Not too many people are "down" with the red/blue leds anymore; they're based on old tech. It does matter what light is shining on your plants. Blurple light isn't natural, but will get the job done if you're set on that color. We're just trying to push you in the right direction and not disappointed over a light you had high hopes for, as well as supplying you with lighting options that you aren't going to have to replace for over 10 years. Good luck man

I know this already, and I have been doing a lot....but like I keep says all is preference to the person and what they're trying to achieve, I'm not saying I need the ultimate light or the best harvest out there.

I'm also not going to purchase a light until I know what one to get and because everyone is pulling me in one direction every way, a few of you here are telling me cobkit, but I keep repeating myself here, need to look into them, if not SHOW ME PROOF these are better. That's what I'm trying to say. Like they look cool and look like they can do well but let's see how these things work, can you add onto them..... so far what I see is you spend 3-400$ and you'll have a small 200watt-280watt fixture.... ok so I spend my budget for the lamp and now I'm still 200watts short..... also what I get at between most lights is if your getting 50 watts per square foot, I'm not going to try to explain myself or even what I've looked into or what I get told between local shops, online and other resourcesx

The T22 I sell is a 200 watt unit. I've taken measurements of it but never for a 4x4' area. Later this even I will plot a 4x4 grid and take some measurements and we will see how they compare.
