what light to use :S

hey guys, i am thinking of starting to grow some weeds in my closet or something (after many years of making my dealers very rich lol)

i got some auto flowering seeds from BCN and now I just have a couple of questions that i can't work out… i was wondering if anyone could answer them:


I live in turkey so it is hard to get a hold of lights and mail ordering them is not something i do not want to do, so i have decided to use CFLs, but there are not many to chose from, if anyone could maybe look at these lights i found and tell me which ones are suitable it would be greatly appreciated:


PHILIPS: 23W -> 100Watt, 1570 lumen - warm white (on top it says: 23W 22--240V WW 827 170mA <2.5mg Hg 2700K


or


PHILIPS: 15W -> 70 Watt, 900 lumen - cool daylight (top: 15W E27 220-240V CDL 865 110mA < 2mg Hg 6500K


or


PHILIPS: Tornado warm white - 8W -> 45W 500lumen


money is not an issue, so i can buy multiple of any of these lamps and use them in any way, i am just not very knowledgeable about if they will work or how many i will need etc. (i plan to plant 1 plant at a time)
i plan to plant the plant in a closet style small area with some good soil etc. and as i said they are auto flowering seeds (Although i have some that are normal (feminised) so if it could be a light compatible with this i would also appreciate

If Money is not an issue find a 250w hps light, its much easier growing with it than worrying about a bunch of CFL's. Go out and get one in the next town, city, or country wherever you can find one if you don't want to mail order. I love Internet or mail order. so easy!

If ur gonna be using CFLS u better get ones that are at least 35-45 watts and don't buy the ones that say equivalent to 100 watts or whatever get ones that say their actual wattage is above 30 at least

yea hps/mh would get ur buds nugged up
but if you wanna stick wit cfls due to heat issue grab the 6500k lights if ur jus veggin them right now if your flowering then get 2700K

Use the 6500k for veg, the 2700k for flower. You'll want at least 100w in flower, more is better.

i use 8 26 watt cfl bulbs a mix of red and blue color spectrum for my veg/mother/clone tent and have never had an issue though i flower using hps. I have egged with mh plenty of times in the past and the cfl is much better for me since i can just string lights up for different plants and adjust as needed.

Build a CFL array that can hold 4-6 lights, have a balance of say 3 cool whites, 5600k and 3 red ,2700k lights, and baby its always in the lumens ..lol

This is where the battle begins.

Everyone says different things about lighting.. When it becomes to lights, I highly suggest you to do your own research and make a decision solely on you. I personally say hid. I always have and always will. Led if you can afford it. No china knockoff led though.
