Hello everyone
Ok I have 1 autoflower going.
She is 5 weeks old and starting to flower.
I am growing her in coco, inside a small grow tent.
I am using a 2ft x 4bulb T5 light.
I been using hortilux powerveg bulbs.
I was wanting to know if you would keep using the T5 light or use 2 150w full spectrum ufo leds?
I dont have room in the tent too use all 3.
So what would you do?
Here is the light setup for the T5.
Here is the ufo led.00m0m_jILVyzQCEKE_600x450.jpg s-l16005.jpg

I would use the 2 150 watts forsure. Also your autoflower is actually flowering right from birth since being an auto flower it has a pre-determined lifespan and is un affected by light schedual, I've grown autos under 24/7 light

Thank you for the reply. I have had her at 18/6 from the start.
The T5 light was working great but now I dont think I am getting enough light to lower budsites.
Thats why I was asking if the 2 ufo lights would be better than just the 1 T5 light.

Sorry my friend but you dont have enough light for flowering. Even with your 2 UFO leds, I dont think you have enough wattage there. Rule of thumb is, you gonna need 50 watts per sq ft, minimum. So in your case, something around 400 watts at least, the higher the better. If you can afford it, get a better light. If you're going for LED, base it on true watts, not on its supposed equivalent.

But he didn't even say how big the area was. What if it's only 2x2? I doubt if the 150w LEDs actually draw 150w though. Looks pretty small. Blue and red LEDs don't work as well as white anyway though, so if they weren't already bought I wouldn't bother. I would ditch the T5s too. Fluorescents are no good and blue/red cheap LEDs are no good. The UV-A in those T5s could also harm your eyes and will actually reduce yields rather than help anything, from articles I've read. Just plain old white LEDs are all you need, 100w replacement LED light bulbs are actually better than anything mentioned in that first post. Good quality ones like Osram or Philips, preferably Osram. 100w replacement means 14w actual power draw btw. They just replace 100w incandescent bulbs. More practical to get high wattage LEDs like COBs, but the bulbs do work and are cheaper, if you don't mind wiring up a bunch of light sockets.

I must be reading it wrong, I thought the OP mentioned the area is 2x4. Regardless what the OP actual grow area, the advice is still sound. 50 watts (true watts if LED) per square feet is the minimum and can go up from there.

If its 2x2 then the minimum would be 200 watts and like you said, I doubt it too that those UFO actually draw 150 watts each. So it wont still be enough for even a 2x2.

My tent is 31x31x60. I am just trying to finish the one autoflower.
I will be buying a light from timber grow lights soon.
I just wanna finish this plant with the lights I have.
So should I finish with the T5 or use the 2 ufo leds?
I know the ufo lights say 150watts but I know they are more like 80 or 90 watts.

Id just use the t5 light and switch out 2 bulbs with flowering bulbs do a mix of 2. Save your money for the light you really want. Not some ufos. The timber grow kit is a good investment. As in soon like in 2 weeks r after the grow?

Actually pretty close to what you thought he said anyway, 2.5 x 2.5, a little over 6 sq ft.
