What may this be? Lack of or too much?

Can you help me nip this in the bud. Was thinking of flushing before trying to "fix" the problem. Like to know if this is nute burn or a Cal/Mag issue. If so, how do you guys typically fix a deficiency? Up the particular deficency or just add an extra feed cycle?

Anything guys? Would really be awesome if you could help out. The girls are in Day 27 of flower so I know they will start yellowing with the lack of Nitrogen needed. But the spots, not sure about those.

Well at a glance your plant is def not the happiest. Can u give some food numbers like ppm maybe ph readout. One easy way to see if its food build up is to check your runoff once you've watered. If its ridiculously high or higher than what u watered in at, prob a good sign to back off the nutes a little.

mr gotti, deffo don't flush, u have wide scale def,...N K Ca to name a few, flushing will make this worse

you prolly have a vigorus plant that is usin more nutes than the feed schedule suggests....this is why it is a good idea to read the leaves an ignore th feed schedule..keep the leaves green ...I grow organic an dif strains..some need feeding every day an they are in 50l soil

You likely have poor watering habits, thus the plant is locking out the nutrients it needs caused by a sodium buildup. Watering isn't something you do quickly five minutes before you head off to work in the morning. (not saying you are, just saying)

Water should be flowing freely out the bottom, in a nice steady stream. (If you let the soil get too dry, it will pass the water through in much the same way, but that's not what you're after) If its too hard to contend with the runoff mess, than give them 'mini' flushes every couple weeks. I know some setups aren't designed to deal with water runoff, so possible pull them out and water next to your floor drain.

Also, I like to remind people that when flushing use a little warmer water, wait a half hour, and repeat, one flush to loosen the gunk, second flush to actually remove it.

Thanks guys for the replies! Yes, I have a suspicion that they are using more than I'm providing and I'm learning this now (newbie). My last ppm was 986 with a starting PPM of 220 due to using tap water. Should I be adjusting for the inital ppm from tap? I have my suspicions that I'm not feeding enough due to this. I also aerate the water for about 24 hours.

The strains I'm having trouble with are my Blue Dream, and Pinapple Skunk and its starting to show a little on my Mazar Kush. My OG Kush is beautiful with no signs of issues yet.

I've been on a water, feed, water schedule but because I'm not feeding enough I will add an additional feed in there.

If you're doing hydro from a large common res, I would actually back off the ppm a little. The 220ppm water shouldn't be an issue unless a portion of those ppm are sodium. A sodium-caused lockout could very well explain those symptoms imo. cn

Sorry, forgot to say I'm using soil. FFOF. Also, I retested my tap and it's actually 110-120ppm giving a -/+ of 10. As I read everyone's opinions, I think I just wasn't feeding them as much as they needed or as frequently as needed. I'll listen to the ladies next time.

I grew in Happy Frog two years ago. I was amazed to see that about two months in, the soil simply "quit". I switched to a strategy of treating it as soilless. I used GH 3-part. I still found mild cal-mag issues. Imo you have cal-mag deficiency showing in your pics (classic punctate brown/yellow), if it isn't sodium-based lockout. But of course, I am not sure, and I hesitate to sound like an authority with someone else's grow.. cn
