You likely have poor watering habits, thus the plant is locking out the nutrients it needs caused by a sodium buildup. Watering isn't something you do quickly five minutes before you head off to work in the morning. (not saying you are, just saying)
Water should be flowing freely out the bottom, in a nice steady stream. (If you let the soil get too dry, it will pass the water through in much the same way, but that's not what you're after) If its too hard to contend with the runoff mess, than give them 'mini' flushes every couple weeks. I know some setups aren't designed to deal with water runoff, so possible pull them out and water next to your floor drain.
Also, I like to remind people that when flushing use a little warmer water, wait a half hour, and repeat, one flush to loosen the gunk, second flush to actually remove it.
