Another vote for MaxiBloom. Used it in DWC, perlite drip systems, hempy, and Pro-mix. Sometimes the full run, other times MaxiGro for a couple weeks or all of veg. Nothing else but calmag, and no real desire to try anything else (although I do look at what people do here, of course).

I was so sad to hear hydro gardens went out of business.
How are you liking the Master Blend? What ratios do you use? Do you add Epsom salt? Do you ever use MKP (0-52-32)?
Sorry about all the questions, I'm curious to hear how the rates I used to use differ from other's mixes!

I have extra buckets I just switch them out when I feed and clean with a power steamer no chemicals no man made nutes

I like the Master Blend well enough. I use the Tomato fertilizer. 4-18-38 base formula. Then Calcium Nitrate,,,,,,,,,,, and Epsom Salts.
The Hydro Gardens was 4-20-39, so theres really not a hill of beans difference in the NPK vs Master Blend. HG also made a 4-18-38. For tomatoes.
Yes Ive/We use 0-52-32-Monopotassium Phosphate. Generally in an 8 week strain we would use it in weeks 3-4.

Where do you keep your EC? How much MKP do you add?
I much prefer using dry nutes because of the level of control I have over what's going on my plants, plus the relative certainty that there isn't a bunch of stuff in there that isn't on the label.

My buddy is the main one who is doing the fertilizing. I couldnt tell you the EC, but I believe he starts seedlings out with 1 teaspoon 4-18-30-1 teaspoon Calcium Nitrate, 1/4-1/2 tsp Epsom Salts per 5 Gallons of water,and he feeds them, every time he waters them. He slowly builds up the amount of all nutrients over time, and I believe at a Max, in Flowering, he may use a Tablespoon and a half to 1 3/4 TBLSP of all nutrients per 5 gallons of water.
When using the MPK in weeks 3-4, I believe he uses about TBLSP per 5 gallons of water, along with all the other chemicals of course.
In weeks 5-6 the amount of Epsom Salts is about Equal to all the other chemicals in quantity. About 1.5-1.75 TBSP of all chemicals per 5 gallons of water. Weeks 7-8 the fertilizer is cut in half. We dont flush.
The Medium is Promix BX
When using the MPK in weeks 3-4, I believe he uses about TBLSP per 5 gallons of water, along with all the other chemicals of course.
In weeks 5-6 the amount of Epsom Salts is about Equal to all the other chemicals in quantity. About 1.5-1.75 TBSP of all chemicals per 5 gallons of water. Weeks 7-8 the fertilizer is cut in half. We dont flush.

My buddy does,, and I do to when Im doing something. But for now, Im not doing anything. My buddy and I have been doing things together since 1981. I buy all the lights, fertilizer, soil/medium, clones, seeds. Pay half the electric. For that I get half the weed, and I get his half for pretty cheap. He doesnt smoke much, his wife smokes maybe an oz a month. Both of them are over 70.
The Promix BX seems to stay at PH 6.2 throught a grow cycle, and weve used it 20+ years, and used to check check check, but after a while/years with the PH staying around 6.2, we arent as diligent about checking the PH. If I grow Organic, I will add a bit extra Calcitic Lime, and Dolomitic Lime. 2/3 parts Calcitic Lime, to 1/3 Part Dolomite. Promix BX has both Calcitic, and dolomitic Lime, at those ratios. But with most chemicals, the PH seems to stay pretty much stable at 6.2. He uses Reverse Osmosis water, and has been doing this so long, he just reads the plants, and tries to not stuff them full of fertilizer.

No idea how your buddy does it with a tea spoon i have a small jewlers scale.i start with 1/3 recommended dose and as long as ppm drops i raise it.laterin floweryou have to break the recepie and give it more magnesium if you are using a strong light(60w no 300w yes)

We use 2 different lights for flowering. In the Summer we use 3 x 1000w Hortilux HPS, and in the autumn-early spring 3 x 1150w Gavita DE HPS. We use 2x 1000w Hortilux Blue for starting seedlings-veg. Sometimes use a 1000w Hortilux HPS for seedlings - veg. Also have a Gavita 1700e for seedlings in the summertime, and have 2x 880w Mammoth Mint White Series we havent used yet. Also have 2 1000w Hortilux Blue for Mother plants.
Main lights for now are 3 x 1000w Hortilux HPS flowering, 2x Hortilux Blue for seedlings- veg. 2 Hortilux Blue for mother plants. We also veg at 24/0
Depending on strain, with physically bigger strains, that stretch a lot, like the OLD 2010 Barneys Farm G13 x Haze, we usually grow 6 huge plants in 20 gallons of Promix BX, and then set about 5-6 plants in 5 gallon containers in the gaps. The G13 x Haze will stretch 5x its original size, if given enough soil and light. I do bend the plants over from an early age and the plant becomes a round hedge. From 8 inch rooted clone Ill veg it 60 days in 5 gallons of soil, and at least 1000w light, and then transplant, veg another week, and flip. The root ball will totally fill up to 20 gallon container.
Best Ive ever done from1 G13 x Haze under 1000w Hortilux, in a 4 x 4 area was 24oz. No other training other than bending the plant over. No topping.
We grow bigger, but less plants because we are in the most unfriendly, of unfriendly states. We will grow more plants if we are pheno hunting from seeds, Or if we have a strain that grows slow, and wont produce a lot,, we will do more of a sea of green.

I used to use a lot of HID but then switched to LED lighting. I have a lot of LED lights...
Check out "ttystikk's vertical goodness" in the vertical section; I was regularly pulling 25-28oz plants on vertical plane trellis panels. My best was 32.5oz. In 5 gallon buckets I was getting 23-24oz per plant, same trellis.

I only use 6 total chems: GH Trio (G,M,B), Elite 93 MSA, GH CaliMagic, and GH Kool Bloom. All mixed with RO water.
VEG: 14 gal RO; 2-tbls of Grow, Micro, and CalMag; 2.5ml MSA
(Final Concentration: ~0.6 - 0.7 EC)
FLOWER (initial): 14 gal RO; 1/4 cup of Grow, Micro, Bloom, & CalMag, 2 tbls KB; 7.5 ml MSA
(Final Concentration: ~1.2-1.4 EC)
FLOWER (recharges): 5 gal; 1-tlbs Grow, 2-tbls Micro, 2-tbls KB; 4-tbls Bloom (With my water, this flower ratio consistently buffers at just above a pH of 6 for flower--super easy maintenance.)

If you're using GH 3-part, there's no benefit to using KoolBloom; it's redundant and unnecessary.
You could obtain essentially the same NPK ratio by simply using more Flora Bloom from the 3-part.
Flora Bloom is 0-5-4, KoolBloom is 0-10-10; i.e. replacing the 2 tbsp of KoolBloom with 4 tbsp more of Flora Bloom will yield a nearly identical overall NPK ratio.
Take advantage of the flexibility afforded by the 3-part and eliminate a superfluous additive.

I had not considered that, but I think you have it backwards. At greater than 2x of the target phosporus and potassium, Kool Bloom is actually cheaper than Flora Bloom in that context.
EDIT: I should say, the difference is nominal... like pennies per grow. So, I am not concerned either way, but I thank you for the thought and bringing up something I had not considered.
