This is of after mixing in an 1/8tsp calmg to 1/4 gallon of unused water that had remains of a prior feeding

What I do is make sure it is a tint green. Like no orange at all!!!

Plus I believe calcium absorbtion is better at a bit higher ph and my medium has a low ph.

So I make sure it is yellow with a tint of green.

General Hydroponics PH kit.

Btw I don't think all the PH kits have same color code... or do they?

:)

Lemme look again.......nope, definitely 7.3497
I'm looking at where the light shines through brightest in the picture, the lower darker looks more 7 yes.
post a pix of it next to the chart so we could get a better idea m8..
Overall lighting for the pictures is not the best, picture 1 is of the runoff itself I kept it in a jar.
Picture 2 is of some runoff before the pH indicator
Picture 3 is after pH indicator.

Don't test your runoff. It is pointless. The water that drains out flushes out old nutes and some of the medium.

Just PH the stuff going in.

I wouldnt use run off for feeding. Are you buying distilled water or something and trying to save money?

Have you tested your tap water for PH and hardness?

She only flushed that out when I fed her distilled water with no nutrients last night. Water from the tap is above 8.5pH and that is what she had been getting for the previous 5 days. I had been either using pH down which was the first two days and then just 1/4 the dose of nutrients for the days after and that brought the pH down without having to use the pH down. Tonight she got just tap water and now some more water with food and a bit of calmg cause she is showing signs of purple in the stems still.

After a while you will know the aproximate amount of nutes and ph up/down to use so you only have to test once to show a correct ph.
