What PH for Promix HP?

Pro-mix HP is soilless; therefore, we seek 5.8. The Pro-mix HP also has a PH; therefore, do not feed plants 5.8 but offset the PH of the Promix.

I checked my run off and my Pro-mix seems to adjust my nutrients upwards. Therefore, I need a lower PH to attain 5.8. But, when I research the PH of of Pro-mix it says it is about 5.5.

What PH is everyone using for Promix HP?

anything 5.8-6.3 works for me with good runoff. Also most bales are not same some seem to get more limestone than others when packing. I haven't checked ph in a long time i use well an rain water here.

I use well water, ~500 ppm, ~7.5 ph, NO ph down ;)

But I feed with Mega Crop one part which is chelated and have never had ph problems !

Peat is quite acidic on it's own. Dolomite lime is added to adjust the pH of the medium. It's almost certain that the pH of an individual bag will vary. Also, over time, as the lime is used up, the medium tends to become more acidic.

pH of 6 is a good target as you have a bit of wiggle-room

Even with a six month long sativa grow I have not seen a ph issue....

Perhaps it depends on what you are feeding. Mega Crop one part is chelated, GH Maxi series is ph balanced, no need to adjust the ph of water in.

But if you want to adjust ph, go for it

I'd rather not mess with acid....
