Happy Holidays man....if you’re like me you’re kinda glad for them to be over. They look fine but need at least a couple of weeks more. The last couple of weeks is when they'll bulk up.
Ignore runoff anything at this stage. No more cal mag. You're doing fine. I would recommend Sunshine 4 Advanced next time. It's damned good stuff. Then you can play more with nutrients and not worry so much. Because you'll know exactly what's going in. Keep us posted.Happy Holidays man....if you’re like me you’re kinda glad for them to be over.
Quick ?....would you feed cal mag if you were me? I’ve read that some stop giving it this late in the grow.
Last thing....I fed early this morn and had some unexpected runoff....of course I just had to shove my ph pen in for a look. It read 5.6. For the life of me I just can’t get a grip on this Ocean Forest soil.
I guess it would be smart to completely ignore checking any runoff with it.....or better yet don’t water to runoff, which I rarely do. My 3gal pots will take about 2/3 gal without runoff....and I wait for them to be very light before watering. I have a cheap soil moisture meter and it usually reads dry from the top to the last inch or two of the bottom. The very bottom usually reads a touch more moist.
I hate to worry the piss out of you, and appreciate your time and wisdom. I hope to be more dialed in for the next grow. Thanks
I see where the Sunshine soil is also amended....when do you begin feeding outside nutes?Ignore runoff anything at this stage. No more cal mag. You're doing fine. Gotcha. Sometime when u have a minute, I’d love to know your general feeding plan and what you use. I thought about a nice dry amendment to add in and then just top dress a couple times.....it sounds easy but I’m sure it’s not.Sunshine 4 Advanced is nutrient free. As is plain Sunshine 4. Pro Mix and Sunshine both sell fortified products but I never use them. It's a peat based medium and they've added some coco. I do add additional perlite. I start feeding very young plants. They'd be eating in dirt outside.
What silica do you use for the foliar spray? It's easy but results are not predictable. Nutrients I've used a lot of different brands but always keep it simple. My latest nutes below

1/2 teaspoon per gallon of each. The only thing I am not crazy about is the mag sulfate being in the mix. Other than that this is a copy of Jack's 321.
These are 3-1/2 weeks. Only fed twice .

Edit add: and sprayed twice with silica. Better absorbed foliar than through roots and keeps EC down.
Have been using RAW. Simply because it's what's available nearby. Mixes easily. Gives good results. Have a pound of another brand coming next week. What silica do you use for the foliar spray?
Hey man...I’m having a cannabis 911 event. Take a look at my pics.....is this the beginning of a nanner? It's easy but results are not predictable. Nutrients I've used a lot of different brands but always keep it simple. My latest nutes below

Possibly. Hard to tell from these pictures. @xtshoHey man...I’m having a cannabis 911 event. Take a look at my pics.....is this the beginning of a nanner?
I spotted it last night and had a good look under the magnifying glass. It’s not really protruding and looks round and smooth. The darker yellow and consistency makes me think it could be the start of one. If so, what should i do. I think that plant needs a couple weeks but all of my plants are moving incredibly slow. This plant is still green top to bottom but the buds are stuck in slow motion. Up close there is still a significant number of white pistils being grown.....heavy trich production along with it. Whatta ya think??View attachment 5057429View attachment 5057430View attachment 5057429View attachment 5057430
Yes those pictures are not the best. It does look like a potential missile launch though.Possibly. Hard to tell from these pictures. @xtsho
It looks just like what I got going on with my gold leaf and I’ve been running this strain for a while now and never got any nanners or little immature seeds but this one I’ve had a few and I just pluck them with tweezers and doesn’t seem to affect anything. Crazy because like I said been running this one for awhile now and never had it but all of a sudden this plants is doing it. Hopefully isn’t anything serious as xtsho saidSo I snipped the tiny section off and you be the judge. It looks like there’s another beside and under that one. Also I actually popped the little guy out and it’s almost perfectly round. Could it be a very young seed? I’ve looked all over the rest of the 3 plants and don’t see anymore.
I did however think I see some foxtailing on one plant. Check out the pics. The one pic is after I cut it outView attachment 5057704View attachment 5057705View attachment 5057706
Hey again man...like it or not I’ve adopted you as my cannabis question “phone a friend”.....lol.Possibly. Hard to tell from these pictures. @xtsho
Feed up to the end. Forget flushing totally. However gradually reduce feed strength and be really light on the nitrogen. These look mighty fine.Hey again man...like it or not I’ve adopted you as my cannabis question “phone a friend”.....lol.
Seriously, happy new yr and happy growing.
I think that little seed like thing is the female ovule....it was only the size of a pin head..so I’m not concerning myself with it.
My question for you this morning is would you give the plants anymore food? I had planned on titrating down the nutes and then only give water the last watering or two.....no huge flushing.
The buds are progressing but very very slowly.
I think the last 2 feedings, which were fairly heavy, 1200-1300ppm, fried them a bit. I see some evidence on the tiniest sugar leaves.
The last watering was only water and molasses, I figured the molasses couldn’t hurt.
All 3 plants are now spitting out some serious thick white pistils. I’d swear the small plant was Fox tailing but all the lower buds are doing it too. Looks like swollen calyces throwing up thick clusters of white pistils.
The trichs are really heavy and still mostly clear....maybe 60/40 clear to cloudy, and no ambers yet.
Im hesitant to feed it anything stout View attachment 5058148View attachment 5058149View attachment 5058151but wanna give it what it needs to finish strong. What’s my play? By the way it’s day 80, not that it matters but well past the 8-10weeks harvest time listed by the breeder. Any advice is really appreciated and again I hope you have a great New Years.
I was thinking about giving a small, maybe 50%, dose of Big Bloom, which is organic and no nitrogen....it’s 0-.5-.7Feed up to the end. Forget flushing totally. However gradually reduce feed strength and be really light on the nitrogen. These look mighty fine.
I've never seen bud that was left to ripen too long. It might happen but I've only experienced it outdoors because it was unsafe to retrieve it at the time.I was thinking about giving a small, maybe 50%, dose of Big Bloom, which is organic and no nitrogen....it’s 0-.5-.7
2 of the 3 plants are still green top to bottom.
I’ve never been a fan of harvesting while there were still white pistils being spit out....and all the buds are doing just that. I’ve seen posts where really ripe buds just continue to generate new pistils. I’m not sure what to make of it. I never had it happen outside and never pulled a plant with white hairs.
I guess I’ll just have to give them a little more time and see what develops.
So it should come as no surprise that I need yet another helping hand to get these plants across the finish line. I did a really dumb thing about a week ago and regret it big time. For reasons unknown I decided to give the girls a haircut. Well I just overdid it and got scissor happy. Pretty much the next day all the remaining leaves started heading south and turning yellow and/or just dying.I've never seen bud that was left to ripen too long. It might happen but I've only experienced it outdoors because it was unsafe to retrieve it at the time.
Be patient and be rewarded. Use the Big Bloom about half strength.
