what can i use as a substitute for lights cos i aint got money for proper ones and how would you make a little grow box with it

the only light substitute is the sun my friend..... if you cant do an outdoor grow then....
look up craigslist or ebay, you can find a hps for 150$ or less, sell some shit you never use and get a light, way worth it,

CFLs is your best bet i mean u can get a set for like 100 bucks or less at 10000 lumens in like 2 bulbs

yea but for 50 bucks more on ebay (150$) you can get a 400watt hps setup (50000) lumens, makes a lot more sense to me than a hundred bucks for only 10000 lumens. cant beat the hps, itll run you only 10-15 bucks a month!

true but with hps come high heat and with cfl little heat closer bulb more light that isnt wasted. but the more money you have to spend on proper ventilation and cooling and CO2 with small spaces that crucial

very true, if space is limited, like a growbox then heat is definately a factor and cfls might be the way to go....good call. but if you have the space and can spend the extra cash the lumen to dollar output for hps is unbeatable....am i right?

absolutely!!!!! and not to mention the sodium you get int the light is a big factor if you get CFLs i suggest Epsom salt to spray the foilage when they veg it does wonders (2 times weekly)
