im growing in my bedroom closet it does okay.. for the space i am alotted right now. the entire closet is 2x12x9 i am only used half of it so 2x6x9. the biggest issue in this closet primarily imo is 1. it has a metal bar that i can't remove i'd have to cut it in half or remove the entire upper shelf which is housing my personal stuff. 2. i cannot add a vent into the closet just because can't cut a hole into the doors.

current set up

1 - King Plus LED 2000watt ( 395 actual draw so the company claims )
1 - air purifier non oscilating as a fan on max speed. i need to bounce it off the wall because it is kinda strong otherwise.
1 - hygrometer
1 - Co2 bag

it's a pretty ghetto setup but it is the only thing i got to work with thus far.

temps and humidity are usually fine for vegging but when it comes to flowering they are on the higher end. temps usually high 70's-low 80's RH- usually around 60's-70's it heavily fluctuates though

i only grow 3 plants right now. i am trying to make room for a tent but i have a large aquarium where my tent would go. the tent could be about a 4x4x6-7 that is if i move my aquarium. which idk if i can. the problem is i can't run a vent if it is really loud as well and where i am going to set up my vent it is probably going to get wet ontop of that.

any suggestions/help on what to upgrade based on the situation?

Can you put the aquarium in the closet? What's the problem with moving it?
just gonna take a lot of work to move it. got a space i can move it to that i have to clean up and reorganize, drain as much water as i can, move the stand, move the tank, remove all the rocks, etc.. i was going to buy a tent soon maybe in 3-5 months we are going to remove my carpeting and run tiles so even if i ran a tent i'd still have to remove the tent anyways.\

the tent just isn't my biggest concern price wise it's fairly on the cheaper side of equipment i was thinking more of fans/lighting but idk if that is even worth the investment right now or not

yea i was thinking of buying some but the issue is i dont want to be running a shit load of appliances. so imma try and opt for a bigger fan 1 oscilating tower fan and maybe a big box fan hook it to my shelf have it blowing the top

question please, how are you getting fresh air into the closet? are you propping the door open for a few hours a day? is your air purifiyer pushing the air across a carbon sheet for smell control?

are you trying to stay stealth? can you buy a cheapo hollow core door at home depot and hang on the same hinges so you can cut holes, and hang the original door back onto the hinges should you ever be done growing?,,,

can you cut a hole in the ceiling and vent into the attic?, just drywall,, patch the hole when your done later?

Fresh air via my closet door. the door has slats in it that allows air flow in and out, my windows are always open, ceiling fan typically running but it's been on the cooler side so i haven't been running it since i started, my bedroom gets a lot of breeze idk why it's in the backyard but out backyard gets a shit load of breeze constantly.

can't cut any holes. above my closet is another room on the 2nd floor plus it in concrete.

and no im not growing stealth just the lack of room right now for a tent. imma try move my aquarium soon less work in the end that way.

My suggestion to your question would be to upgrade with a dehumidifier

What about a fan and carbon filter placed as high in cupboard as possible with ducting. Run ducting just sticking out by quarter of an inch out closet side that is being used? (small fan and carbon filter as its only a small space and will reduce noise output) An exhaust fan setup this way will draw fresh oxygen/co2 through plant and create negative pressure? So any smell wont come back out the closet. Youll also have the benefit of lower humidity and lower temps. I dont know how good the co2 bags are as i use a co2 burner but i would imagine having good airflow, control over your humidity and temp would be more beneficial than the co2 bag?? Good airflow through plants can yield great without adding co2 in my experience! I've got nearly 10 oz off a g13 pineapple express plant without co2 supplementation just good environment control and awesome air exchange through plants!! Hope this helps......

thank you yea im trying to hold off on the tent cause imo that isn't as important right now you got any suggestions for a dehumidifier for a smaller sized tent/room i live in Hawaii so it can get pretty damn humid year round. never used a dehumidifier in my life

i was thinking about that before but like idk how well that would work during flowering because my plants are right where the door opens if it isn't fully closed they will get light leaks when my lights are off for at least 1 full hour. the light leaks wouldn't be too bad but idk how it would affect my plants. as for the co2 bags idk im just testing it for now i honestly cant say it does anything or doesn't so far this grow is my best but i only have 2 grows under my belt. i would prefer if i ran the vent through my window as well because the air outside my window is really cold and smells fresh idk why but our back yard gets a shit load of wind on a daily basis but the front yard nothing.

You could cut a sheet of OSB to fit the door opening and put a blower in that board up high, cut a passive intake hole in the bottom.

Yea you don't want ANY light leaks during flower. I learnt the hard way and had some Hermies late flower. And buds became less dense. Really sucked lol. A sealed area with Co2 would be a great option if you knew how much co2 you were dosing and could have control over temps and humidity etc. but doesn't sound realistic atm in your situation? In my old grow tent id have ducting down low in one corner with a couple of black stockings that I stole off the mrs haha, that was used to pull fresh cool air in, stop light and bugs from entering tent, then the same in the opposite corner up high (heat rises), pulling the cool fresh air through the plants. with a fan/carbon filter and ducting on the outlet side. with black stockings also. The tent would look like it was being sucked in from inside from using an exhaust fan only (no intake) and no smell outside of tent! Worked a treat. Maybe you could do a similar thing? You would just have to make sure when you close door everything is sealed and no light leaks through gaps in doors or where you have closed door to venting etc. Might have to get a bit creative!! That's where half the fun is in my opinion.

i just thought of another way i can run a tent asap just by moving my bed but i need to take measurements it might suck because my ceiling fan is blocking a lot of the height but in the space i measured if i did my measurements correct i can run a 4x4x6 i would like to run a 5x5x6 but that is cutting it real close.

what are your guys thoughts on a 4x4x6?
