What Should I Upgrade (small grow)

Hi guys First time poster long time toker here

Im looking for some advice on what i should upgrade first,Im using a very simple grow tech here

Ive Got one light for 2 plants
Its a 250w CFL
I use plain ol' tap water (left to sit for a few days)
Organic Nutrients wich i top up every few weeks
And a lil desktop fan For Ventillation

Theres not much i can do for venting but i was thinking of getting myself a 70w HPS wich shouldnt run too hot
But im asking you guys for advice on what to upgrade first for most money:yield

i would recommend just getting some more lights. 250w will work but if you get more lights you will definitely see an increase, especially since the light would be hitting the plants from more angles. do you have anything reflecting the light in your grow space, because if not you ought to get something, either mylar or just white paint. the hps light would be a good light to get, but if you could get a higher wattage that would be good too. what growth stage are you in? post some pics if you can. im subscribed.

I cant get any pics because i dont have a digi camera.
However iv already grown a few Lowryder 2's
managed to get just over half ounce on each plant.
This time im going for some skunk tho, their just over a week old now, one had some problems sprouting but recently showed some new growth tho the stem seems stumped and the other is looking pretty healthy may even FIM it.

Anyway yeh i Have White coated plywood so its pretty reflective. My grow space isnt exactly on par but its 4"X2"X2"

Im leaning towards the 70W HPS Im just concernd About it Generating To much heat!

go out get yourself some nice organic soil I use fox farm real good stuff. Their nutes are awsome too. I would also go with a larger light I would go with a 150 watt hps. Then get a little bit of a nicer fan.

my advice would be to get the 150 watt HPS or stronger and just keep it a little further away from the plants, because when the plants get a lot bigger you will want that extra power, and you would already have it, opposed to buying another bulb.

You see the thing about the HPS light is that it would have to be more of a side light because of the way my main CFL is set up.

I know that ideally i would want the HPS as the main one and the CFL as a side light but that would be expensive to replace.

The light itself will probably be within 10CM of the plant so space is a big issue for me!

Just how hot are the 150W HPS's?

not very hot at all. Just do the good old hand test. What you do is out your hand over the canopy of the plant and go up from there until your hand is too umcomfortable to be there then your girls are ok. 150 watt hps arent warm at all. Look for a cool tube. Or just go out and buy a 250 watt hps air cooled system sooooooooo worth it the bigger the better im running a 600.

yeaaa.. deff go for the HPS light first.. you can get a 150 watter for like 65 or 70 bucks.. ill have to look around and try to find the link for you.. but 150 watts would be good for the 2 plants.. and 70 bucks isnt bad for it at all.. cheapest ive seen soo far.. and as far as reflective material.. if you go to family dollar.. you might find some wrapping paper that is only $1.. and its all shiny silver.. thats wat im using.. it 10ft.. its a really good deal.. and worked GREAT!! if not... check ur local dollar store.. i also found shiny silver tissue paper for $1.. its not like real tissue paper.. lol.. it worked really good too tho.. that should help you get goin tho.. im sure you'll notice a difference. good luck!!!
