I thought I had it down pact now u got me second guessing myself
The first post says it's with RO. The response in PPMs would appear to apply to that. 250pms of nutrients. 0 ppm from the water.
Why not post to that thread on icmag and see what they say. Since they wrote this ppm-based schedule (it didn't come from AN?), see if they're implying RO water *must* be used. Or, whether their target ppm can be in addition to the ppm of tap water (within reason, which might require definition from them).I thought I had it down pact now u got me second guessing myself
Ok now that MAKES SENSE so should I get some ph down and get my water down to 0 and then follow that ppm chart? If not do you have a ppm chart for different stages of growth for soil? The first post says it's with RO. The response in PPMs would appear to apply to that. 250pms of nutrients. 0 ppm from the water.
You wouldn't want to reduce nutrients by 50% if your water was 125ppm. The ppm in your water isn't nutritious (for the most part). It's not stuff your plant could use. You'd still want it to get 250ppm of nutrient.
200ppm water is not uncommon. GH Flora doesn't switch to a hardwater formula until over 200ppm water. That would only leave 50 ppm of nutrient if nutrients were added the way you're thinking. That wouldn't work.
Cuz rollitup is the only blog I have and is the easiest (for me)Why not post to that thread on icmag and see what they say. Ph and ppm are different. You don't ph down your ppms to 0. You buy RO or distilled water.Ok now that MAKES SENSE so should I get some ph down and get my water down to 0 and then follow that ppm chart?
Awesome dude thanks a bunch sorry for the hassle. . So ima just follow the feeding instructions. .Ph and ppm are different. You don't ph down your ppms to 0. You buy RO or distilled water.
Are you in hydro? The way you're focused on ppms seems hydro oriented. But, I didn't think hydro growers use tap water.
If you're in soil, then I think you're doing the thing where you have a hammer and everything looks like a nail. Just work with ml or tsp measurements. In seedling do 1/4 strength of whatever you would feed in veg. In early veg do 1/2 strength. In soil, a ppm meter's only useful for sanity checking, testing runoff. That's about it.
Maybe those guys on that other thread are hydro. That's why I thought it would be better to ask them how their ppm-based schedule would apply to your grow.
@BROBIE should be able to answer that. He's an AN enthusiast. (I've tagged him, so he should arrive soon.).Awesome dude thanks a bunch sorry for the hassle. . So ima just follow the feeding instructions. .
And i am in soil. . Any tips u can give me for feeding?
