what should three weeks flowering look like?

I have a nice looking white skunk and I flipped 3 weeks ago to 12/12 and I see tons of bud sites and pistils but no bud formation whatsoever. It has been still stretching and now I have had to tie it down so it doesn't touch my lights. I have checked and made sure no light leaks. foxfarm nutes, foxfarm soil, the only thing I do not have for my grow room is a can fan from the outside in. the door is open for a couple of hours a day could this affect it. also I have a electric timer could it be messing up? What does three weeks flowering look like if anyone has pics they could post so that I can determine if this is normal or not. I will get pictures up when I can.

thanks

white skunk. I am going to put them into dark for 2 days and see if that gets them rolling and buy a digital timer and look for more light leaks. I was in the room for 10 minutes during the day and couldn't see anything but maybe i am missing something. This is my first grow so I am sure its something iam doing. The plant looks great just hasn't starting budding so it must be a timer issue.

Dont put them in the dark. They look fine for being 3 weeks in. It normally takes two weeks before you see any pistols (those white hairs). They are coming out of a calyx, but they are really small right now so you can't really see the "bud" yet. Give it time. You will notice large clumps of white hairs at the tops which will bulge as the calyxes swell. Give it a bloom fertilizer (high in P) and sit back.

BTW, what kind of light do you have, and what strain is it? Some sativa strains take longer to fill out and if it is stretching still at week 3, there's a good chance that it has some sativa.

it is white skunk from white label and I have a 400hps running. I will turn the lights back on tonight and see if this is the patience part of the game. I need to get this thing finished up before winter comes though. More pics people if you got them!

I agree, dont turn the lights off!! Don't think a light leak is your problem either (if you actually have a problem). Do a bit of research into the strain, a lot of strains do come on late, and it certainly looks like it has sativa genes. attached a pic of one of my plants at 3 weeks...this is og kush, and it also fills out late.

Hey, I just looked up your strain and it has a heavy sativa background, 45-50s flower period (check out sensi seeds for more info). good luck, and perhaps invest in some sort of super bloomer (i use pk13-14 from BioNova.

Okay I have tiger bloom and botanicare pro bloom i am using right now full dose every third watering and .5 gallon every other day to three depending on soil. I found today a pretty major light leak and went in filling all suspicious cracks between drywall and any other probable sights. i had the lights off for 24hrs and to my suprise when i went in i noticed alot more pistils so I will give it a shot and see if I need to learn patience. I am still going to get a digital timer and see if that helps. I also read up more on the strain and see there is a heavy sativa as leaves on my plant look sativa, long and slender.
