Hey everyone. I am about to start a 2 plant scrog grow. I will be using coco coir as my medium. I will be growing in a 48x24x60 tent. I will be vegging with a T5 light. I will be using a HPS light for flower. So my question is this. When I start to flower what size HPS light would be good for my size of tent? Would a 250w be enough coverage or do I need a 400w HPS for that size tent? I was even thinking of 2 150w HPS lights, then I could place 1 light over each plant. So let me know what you think please.

For tent grows I like LED's. No heat issues and less electricity costs. If you're going that route buy the best you can afford, you won't regret it.

I thought about vegging with a 4ft x 8bulb T5. Then flowering with the same T5 just with different bulbs. It would cover the entire canopy and I can place it close to the tops. I just hear that HPS is best for flowering. I just dont wanna spend the money and it find out I used the wrong light setup for my size of tent. Here is the reason why I wanna try a T5 grow.

I'm currently walking a guy through his first grow where he uses T5's exclusively and the results are impressive. If you want to switch out the bulbs for a different spectrum for flowering I think you'll do fine.

ok thank you. I have grown with a 150w hps before. It was just a small 1 plant grow. It was great almost 3ozs. I think I will try a all T5 grow this time. If I dont like it. I will just sell the light.
