I hear what you're saying. I have some plants growing that I think will end up in the 6 foot range by the time they start flowering and that doesn't even include their stretching beyond that. But I'm not growing to end up with a huge harvest. I grow for personal stash. If a plant outgrows a 5 gallon pot what's the worst that can happen.. it just produces less or could it actually die? I can live with a reduced yield of equally high quality buds than I would have had if I'd used an 8 gallon pot for instance.for every foot put them in a gallon. and i think it would be worth the extra effort because u only have to do it once i mean y not just do it and get a couple extra O's out of it
