I have 12x 5.5 gallon air pots with stake emitters.. hooked to 3/8 floraflex hoses running into 3x 8 output manifolds hooked up to 1/2” pvc…. I have this 600 GPH pump hooked up and it doesn’t seem to push out much water. Like at all.. how big of a pump do I need ?? I have a 30 gallon trash can filled with nutrient water

Go to a smaller size then the 1/2" like reduce it down or get a 1000gph at least. But I agree it sounds like the head pressure isn't enough for the lines you're using.

should have like a 7ft head on a 600gph pump, it's just not enough volume of water for his application. anything 1500gph to 3000gph is a good range and then you can put in a valve to get what you want. God i've had to buy so many sizes of pumps it's just better to oversize cuz you can use it later on something else.

Diaphragm pumps are weak. A rotary vane is sure delivery. Are you using a single line to lift to planter height and then into a manifold?

I’ll post my set up here in a few minutes. But I think instead of cutting my pvc pipes and redoing them. Ima just buy this pump from Amazon. Especially since it’s 40% off.. originally I had those 3” floraflex circle irrigators but I didn’t like them overall. They water from underneath and it seems to overwater them way to fast. Now that I hooked these other irrigators up. They barley drip. Maybe my heads are clogged? But they shouldn’t be lol. Ima just go with this pump because I plan on doing a way bigger system after this run anyways. Plus it has a digital adjustable unit. Not to mention I have 4 shut off valves in between each head and one near the pump I’m using now. I’ll post the set up when I run downstairs. But check this pump.

It’s not a diaphragm pump. But I actually plan on using one of those for the self draining set up im building. I bought these expensive 15 each saucers for like $20 a pop x12. Made a hole and bought 12x $6 fittings for the drain. I originally had pvc pipes coming up and siliconed into the saucer but I could tell they would just pop off easily. So I forked put another $70 just for the little drain fittings lol

So this is the pump I ended up buying. It’ll be here tomorrow. I also purchased a diaphragm pump for my diy self draining system. When I put everything together, I’ll take a picture for you guys to see. It’s actually a pretty solid set up. I’ve spent tons of money and tons of time planning this setup. Even tho I’m almost 3 month into this crop, I can finally say.. I’m finally completely finished building this room. Only other thing I need is a 18k mini split which I think I’ll have the funds next week to purchase.
