What strain to choose? (free grow, small indica, 300~400gr yield)

Hi everyone! So, for the first time, i'm going to try to grow a small plant, i only what to use it for self consumption, and i need it to be as small as it can be. The main goal here is to spend the minimum money as possible. So i wanted a small indica (or mixed), that has a significant yield, but also, a smooth buzz, good for social times. I have to do a free grow style, since i can't pay high electric bills.. I already saw some strains like big bud, thc bomb, aurora, etc, but all of them have a problem, like being a little to high, or having a "couch" buzz (i really hate that), or being hard to grow, etc. I also need to buy the seeds from an european online store (i live in portugal).

If anyone could give me a hand in this, i would appreciate it.

3oo / 400 grams on a small indoor plant is going to be nye impossible for a new grower, and is even pretty big numbers for an experienced grower imo.. that's over 10 ounces a plant, just at the 300 gram mark.. i don' know too many newb's who pull that kind of weight from one plant, let a lone some more experienced growers..
i'd be more concerned about growing quality over quantity for the first few grows.. just find a strain that you like and checks the boxes for what you're looking for, and grow it well and it will reward you with some good smoke..
once you get a few good grows under your belt, you can start to worry about upping your yields while keeping the quality the same or better..
another thing is that some of the bigger yielding strains like big bud or big bud x's aren't always the best of smokes and tend to be rather low on the potency side of things..

it sounds like you like a sativa, or sativa dom strain.. i would suggest maybe something like c99.. it's a quick finisher at around 8 weeks of flower, and gives decent yields or non couch lock smoke, but rather more speedy and motivational..

Ya know I've never purchased seeds from a seed bank, all "good" strains come from good genetics. First go through your bag seed if you have some, this gives you a chance to get acuainted with growing pot. The genetic marvels you see in the pot porn magazines websights, ect, all came from somewhere. I have two fantastic top shelf meds right now, both, came from bag seed, old bag seed .. You could plant 10 seeds from the same bag of pot, and in the process come up with something special. Pheno's accure in every strain, some are not as good as the original, but often enough they are far better. "Melungeon Magic" came about that way. It was much smaller than the rest of that batch. Ten years later it has become highly prized. I've seen a half pound fly off the top shelf in a pot club 20 min after opening the doors on a monday!

The 300-400g estimates are per square meter, which is going to usually mean a few plants.

Ok, i get it now, i can't get the 300 gr per year i wanted. So, bearing in mind that the top 3 characteristics i would choose are small and compact plant/buds, easy to free grow them, and a speedy and motivational buzz, like racerboy71 said, what strain should i choose? My father knows i smoke weed, but i've got to hide it from my mother. I could have 2/3 small plants, like 2ft / 60cm tall, 1ft / 30cm wide... I've been searching some strains but most of them aren't small enough, or the buzz is really couch strong... and some of them don't give me all the info i need... some say that they're indoor plants, but it doesn't say if they are easy to free grow. racerboy, you also said that i must like sativa more... why is that? and aren't sativas supossed to grow a lot more than indicas? i'll continue to search the marijuana seeds nl website...

Sounds like you need to do more research on how to grow a plant. If you wanted only small plants you would be lucky to get 40g off each, so 120g off 3 plants. If you want less of a couch lock buzz then you need a sativa dominant plant. Sativas are normally taller and stretchier. As for hiding it from your mother its going to stink to high heaven if you pick a stinky strain.

You need to just buy some seeds and see what happens....

I don't think you should hide anything from your parents, either one of them. And I don't think posters here should be helping anyone who is.

Why not trying an outdoor grow Portugal as an ideal climate for that at lest compare to my place ( Canada) The attitude in UK sell Gerilla Gusto from sensi seeds the strain is adapted for growing in Spain ( your Neighbor ) and each plant yield 200 to 250 g of high quality buds
