Hi all. First post here.
I'm seeing weird leaf damage that's slowly spreading from plant to plant and I haven't been able to find any information as to what might be causing it. It started on an AK-47 plant and has spread to a couple of other plants over the last month. New leaves look pinched in the middle and sometimes grow out with blunt, flat tips. At first I thought a caterpillar might have got to them, but couldn't find any. Nothing seemed unusual under a loupe and when I took out my little pocket microscope I found what appeared at first to be a cat hair, but then I noticed it seemed to be attached to a strand of web at one end and moving slightly. It's either black or dark brown/red and quite long, but completely invisible to the naked eye or under a loupe.
I've managed to keep on top of the occasional mite or thrip. I'm not 100% certain I've been getting nutes exactly right, but other than an occasional minor deficiency that I've had to correct, I haven't had any real nutrient problems. I was growing on my balcony, but the lights from the building next door were causing me to get loose larfy buds, so about six weeks ago I got a 4'x4' AC Infinity tent, a Bestva Pro 4000 led, AC Infinity inline output fan and running a tower type oscillating fan, as well as a 30 pint dehumidifier and a portable air conditioner when needed. Temps are generally around 74°f and rh has been around 45%. Growing in Happy Frog mixed with about 25% Fox Farms coco/perlite blend and a few extra handfuls of perlite. Feeding with FF trio, General Hydroponics Cal Mag +, molasses, and an occasional worm casting top dress.
So, any ideas about this? The attached photos are of my Bruce Banner... the most recent victim of whatever is going on. Any help IDing the cause would be very much appreciated, and a solution to the problem would be even better. Thanks!
