what the hell worms

the 1st time i had them was because i did the same thing ! but in my area theyre widespread now. they eat roothairs i think as well,making the root systems unable to take up nutrient. its the worst bug ive ever seen. someone had suggested a systemic type of poision. but before i drop a toxic bomb i was hoping mabey theres a more gentle answer. Ive lost about 30% each time these worms appear
