what tipe of system to use for 6kw grow,NEED ADVICE

iv been growing in soil for a year now under a 2.5kw perpetual harvest setup,now im planing to switch to hydro so what tipe of system would u recomend for me,i wana have 3 main reservoirs so i can have a harvest every 2-3 weeks,the most important things for me are low maintenance,fast flowering and yeild-i bet im the only one
i wana get this so i can leave for a few days and leave the crop

sounds to me like aeroponics will be the way to go for you

Either way, I think SOG's in your future... especially if you intend to leave it unattended for a few days.

If your new to hydro and your gonna leave for few days do not do aeroponics as you have to do it and learn it before its self sufficient. For you a simple setup of 3 4x8 flood tables would work fine. Use 6 inch square pots with 4x4x4 rockwool cubes. 1 res per table 25 plants per table. Me i would use 2-3 600 watt lights per table which is best. this gets your 3 full table going staggered if you like get about 2 plus dry lbs per table each harvest. Simple cheap fast easy to maintain and pretty much self run..just check ph and ppm and your good

with a setup like that what kind a yeild can i expect with co2,ac,dehum....all that neede for close to perfect conditions
now in soil without co2 im pulling around 0.6-0.7

are light movers efficient on a SOG as on any other stile

It's all explained very clearly and simply. He's running 2kw (plus another 400w HPS for his 5 moms) - and getting around 20 oz every 2 weeks.
With 6kw, expect around 60 when you get it dialed in. Much safer than aero if left unattended. Just get a UPS for your pumps and you'll be safe for a while in the event of a power outage.

well I like to run a few 4x8 tents with 2 600 watt lights and basica fox farm and co2 tanks and my average yield using clones vegged for 2 weeks and harvest at 6-7 weeks flower is always bewteen 2-3 lbs dry. I like light movers in bigger areas also. like in my grow rooms that are like 8x8 and running my 32 site aero machines I have shown i make a tandem bar that carries 2 lights back and forth on 8 foot rails so both lights move together over the entire 8x8 area and I can control the speed. i just bought 2 more hydro farm intelirail 3,0 with 4 foot tracks and 2 2 foot extensions and am going to just use 2 4x6 tenst with my homebuilt ebb and grow buckets setup. I am just waiting for the spa timer to finish the brain buckets and will run both tents off one brain bucket and use a 70 gallon res outside these 2 and shove maybe 15 buckets in each tent and use netting and grow bigger plants and see if can pull maybe 3-4 lbs dry from those smaller tents. heres a quick few shots of how I do basic 4x8 tents with small indicas and 2 600 watt lights on a 4x8 table..This particular one yielded 2 lbs 3 oz dry bud and 1/4 lb of bubble hash from the trims..no not all is shown but some is

in a ebb and flow system can i use 2 pumps to fill the tray just in case one stopes the other one can fill it at least half way so the plants can survive and one more question can the water drain from the tray throught the same hose that i use for the pump to fill it as the pumps stop working or do i have to have a separate hole and if so can someone explain to me how does that work,when the pumps working and filling the tray isnt the draining hole simultaneous leaking the solution back to the reservoir

on this page theres a sstem that has no valve just the pumps hose so when the pump stopes working the solution drains back to the res. is this reliable

thats for the ebb and flow

the pump line also drains when the pump cuts off but you have other drains with overflow hights set. like a pipe or hose that stcks up to desired depth and when water gets that high it drains down that pipe so it wont over flow. In 4x8 table I have 2 fills and 2 over flows in 4x4 tables 1 fill and one ovewrflow drain

the overflows are set so the solution wont spill i was thinking if u have 2 pumps and one brakes the other one will fill the tray so the roots wont dry out,can u tell me how do u time your pump how often do they fill the tray per day 12/12,how many times during lights on and how many times during light off i think im gonna use clay pellets

I keep my pumps the same in all grows coming on 4 times a day every 6 hours thats 2 lights on and 2 lights off. Times you have to set based on the size of your table meaning like a 4x4 table I run pumps on for about 15 minutes and in 4x8 table I run my pumps about 35-40 minutes. Gonna depend on the flood table size and pump size. Do a run and time how long it takes to flood then over flow and then add about 5 minutes from over flow.I guess you could run 2 pumps. i never had a flood pump go out. i did loose 2 aero punmps in 8 years as I let my res get to low and burned them up but the goal is to have more res then flood area so your pumps are always submerged by few inches

in most cases the pump willl fill to the level you want then when the pump stops it funs back thro the pump to the res...those pics are nice..but i prefer higher numbers if you can clone welll...4 plants per sq foot... 123 plants per table... flower after only a few days from clone.. depending on strain...and you should be able to pull 3 to 4 lbs a table....


i like your mover idea..i think i may have to add that.... how much wieght can one of those things hold....

I grow only clones but am not a fan of stuffing a ton of plkants into a table. I have done both ways and find I get better quality buds from less plants and the best is actually achieved when you lay rockwool mats on the table then pots on top of those so roots can grow through the mats. Cramming that many plants for the little difference doesnt make sense to me as the charge would be much greater as your now a major commercial grower with hundreds of plants for the slight increase which can be matched with less plants. if i grew mine bigger and super cropped 5 lbs is not that hard just some work. I like plug and play and 120 plus plants just isnt worth it to me since I tend to have several tents and grows in different locations

can i get my veg. plants in dwc and then transplant them in clay pelets to a ebb and flow for flowering,thats what im trying now for my first hydro grow just 2 plants to see how it goes,is that efficient can i have any oproblems with that,thanks for all the help

and do i need to clean the tray that holds the plants or pots with them,

ahh true trye..soo in a 4 by 8 ebb and flow and 2 600s or 2 1000s how many plants would you run? now long to veg? and what tyle of grow.. with 120 plants in a flood table i veg for 4 days the 56 days flower..soo every 60 days i can turn a table...
