What to do when you can't attend to your plant for a long time?

Im going on a 4-day trip and I don't think my Blumat will arrive on time :(

I have a month old auto flower plant in flowering and in a 2 gallon airpot with coco and perlite. I usually hand feed it everyday but I don't have someone who can water it while I'm gone, what should I do?

Do I just give it some extra water before I go? What else can I do I minimize any drawbacks for leaving it unattended for 4 days?

My current grow is in my sig. Thanks!

Take a 5 gallon bucket and some 1/4"tubing and drill a hole the same size as the OD of the tubing near the bottom of the bucket. Put the tubing through the hole and put a connector on the hose and then pull, the connector will make a seal at the hole. Take a screw (a sheetrock screw works great)and screw it into the other end of the tubing you are going to put into the planter. Now fill the bucket and elevate it above the height of the plant and adjust the screw to get the drip rate you want and have a nice trip. Happy Growing, Larry :weed:

if it is in a tray just fill the tray with water and it will drink what it needs, empty the tray when you return and allow it to dry slightly before watering again.

sitting in water for 4 days will cause no ill effects.

Get a watering bulb from wallgreens or home depot or other home and garden center. Should cover you for 4 days.

Don't count on a globie thing to work. They always either clog or dump out when I tried.

With a good drenching, in my grow environment, four days would be okay. I would would water well and maybe leave a little extra for bottom feeding.

I would also be careful trusting the blumat on day one when you are leaving. They can take a little while to get dialled in and when I used them, they did flood (not turn off) on me a number of times. I suspect the cause is too airy a soil, as mine like yours had lots of perlite and minimal compost, hummus, dirt, etc. So make sure you have a large enough drain pan to accommodate the runoff if that happens.
