what to do with suckers?

Hi everyone! my plants have been growing steady in veg for about three weeks. I noticed a lot of new leaves growing around the branches of the branches that are already pretty mature. I'm fairly sure these are suckers that are slowing the vertical growth of my plants and on any other species of plant I'd be pruning them as I saw them. My question is whether or not pruning them would stress out my plants too much? I already clipped two reasonably sized shoots to make clones, but there are a lot more and I'm afraid that pruning them all might stress out the plants enough to give me a herm (or worse a male!). Anyway, what does the greater growing community think? I mean, those little shoots can't possibly give me any real bud right?

fist off welcome to the board. need more info on size of plant ex. pics would be very helpful. i myself take the lower branches off ( just the lower 1st set of branches) and i cut as many clones as i can from them. this is called lolly popping. some growers cut more branches than others. (growers preference) it will shock a little bit just a few days. i have hot had a hermie yet.

its not too hard. it may stress the plant for a few days if you take clippings, but i assure you it will bounce back. I use them to make clones. why waste em :D off 1 branch I can make 3-4 clones. if you just want to clip the lower ones then go for it, but cloning them will keep you in a grow rotation for quite some time. if you want to clone them I suggest checking out the grow FAQ at the top of the page for more info on how to do it. Thanks for the advice guys, I've made a couple clones from the lower branches of one of the bigger plants. Hopefully that'll get me started on a sweet rotation. I'd include some pictures but I'm seriously lacking the technology.
