Did u guys read the thread about how lookin at trichomes isn't always accurate because some strains will stay clear forever. If not search it
And you can't rely on pistil color because some strains, like Matanuska Tundra for one, will still have totally white pistils when the plants are fully ripe.

Trichome color is by far the best guide for when to harvest. The best growers in the world will tell you so.

So My hairs on my flowers are turning colors(just starting to) whats the best sign to look for when you know its time to harvest? I thought the colors of the hairs determined the type of high you get? I want to be able to be able to pull em at the right time. Right now most of the hairs are still white so its still not time yet But any tricks or ideas that might be helpful?:joint::peace:
Swollen calyx's, hairs will begin to recess inwards, fan leaves will yellow, but in order to know if your plant is done do the following.

-Buy a pocket microscope (radio shack 10-20$)
-cut a small leaf off that visibly has trichomes on it.
-check the color of trichs. You want them to be all cloudy before you harvest them. Some people wait until they see amber, by this time THC is now starting to deteriorate.
