Hi everyone, I have this problem of sorts.
I just got my digital pH meter from China (finally) but as I skimmed the manual for the genral how to, I noticed there wasn't anything about how to store he pH meter. It's a very simple pH meter I could'nt get a more expensive one although that's on my "need to buy ASAP list". The manual simply states that I should rinse the electrode after use using distilled water and just put the cap back on.
After doing some research on the web a lot of people warn that the probe should not dry out as this can cause damage?
I cannot buy a storage solution, so I was wondering if anyone could give me a few tips on how to store safely. Apparently distilled water must be used for rinsing purposes only, not for the actual storage.
I was thinking of just submerging the tip into the calibrating solution and leaving it there?
Thanks for your help.
