what to use?

I just finished my second crop...want to switch to some better nutrients.
I was using fox farm, because I was told it is a good beginner's blend.
They were right. Now I want to try some of the other varieties.
I'm going to buy them today. If there is an experienced grower with some
Insight on a good brand, I would appreciate any suggestions.
I would like to know what the best bang for the buck is.

Would depend on the growing enviroment.....inside, outside, soil, hydro.......

If you want a all around nutrient, Dynagro Bloom and some cal/mag and Protek will work everytime.

If you want a specialized nutrient system, then the type of systems used would be useful information....especially media like rockwool, coco, hydroton, .......

Each grower will give you an experience that will relate to the nutrient they used.

Your best bet is to start experimenting with YOUR enviroment and base your decision on what worked best for you in YOUR enviroment and system.

miracle grow.. Thats what i use

i have never heard that foxfarm is a beginners nute. well i guess i am a beginner cause i use the foxfarm lineup. and i have enough for many more grows so ill continue to use them for now. i have only used miracle grow and foxfarms so i cant compare others and i am sure there is better nutes than foxfarm. no matter what you use, there will always be something better, and people are not afraid to tell you theirs is the best lol

Currently I am doing RDWC and started with Cana but moved to Dutch Master as they have 2 very innovative products, Liquid Light and Zone. The rest of the products are working very well and PH is rock solid.

Just a FYI- Nothing really innovative about Zone unless you consider chlorine innovative.....a much better product IMO without the harsh toxic chemicals is Hydro Fungicide by groovey hydro......now that is a innovative formula!!

I am always looking for great new product thanks for the pointer. I have used zone in my RDWC and am very happy with the results, I have tried some others but for me Zone is it. I run 250 gal res's so it takes gallons of nutrients to mix up. I use 200ml of zone, that's not much when you use 2,500 ml of A and B.

Did you find liquid karma beneficial? I started to test it in veg with my hydro girls and noticed a dirty particulate buildup on the bottom of my res. In addition, the average dose recommended by Botanicare is 10mls per gallon which is around 300ppm of liquid karma. I called them several times about this product and none of the 'customer service' reps could tell me anything more than what one could already read from the backs of the bottles. Their 'scientists' in their greenhouse never returned my call either. After I noticed the 'dirt/salt buildup' in my res, I stopped using it and wonder about it's effectiveness given it's higher ppm content and the tradeoff between essential elements and this jazz.

do you have good results with the mg?
you ovbiously do haha
have you used other nutes? like fox farm and have found that mg is doing you better?
i have been using mg all purpose for veg and am thinking about mg bloom or ff bloom for flower

i use liquid karma but in soil. so far the plants seem happier with it, particulary in the first weeks of flower. not a huge game changer but for the money spent i'm satisfied enough. i did notice that it stains anything it touches and tends toward acid. i have to scrub my sink every time i mix up my stuff. i use it with my dynagro nutes and the botanicare silica. not gonna lie i haven't decided if i'm going to get more when it runs out. i got it specifically because i wanted to try a kelp extract and this was reasonably priced and from a company i'm comforable with. dynagro doesn't need any extras but the claims made intrigue me. i'll have to run it with a few more strains before i really decide.

to the op, dynagro or jack's are the best "bang for the buck nutes" i've used. i've used fox farm in the past and both jack's and dynagro outperformed the fox farm and are a fraction of the price. and because there is only one product for each growth stage they are perfect for people who are new to growing but have a solid knowledge base.
