What Training Method?

Hi, so I'm going to be starting a grow soon, I have a 240W Quantum Board in a 3x3x6.5 ft grow tent. I just can't figure out what training method to go foward with, I was goign to go with Sea of Green "SOG", but I don't have any clones and I'd do three strains so I'd have to make three mother plants, hoping there all good phenos just to take clones off of to start the SOG, so I think that's gonna be too much time for me. I then thought about Screen of Green (SCROG), that sounds like one of my best bets, but I can't do multiple strains that way and I don't want to add the extra hassle of filling the screen with different strains, so if I do screen of green, I'll pick two plants one strain. I also then thought about having two plants, two different strains, and just top & lst, and then when I've vegged enough time, I'll remove a lot of lower leaves and larf and hopeless buds to put more energy to the top to make some dense buds.

What do you guys think? If you was in my position, what method would you do?

I don’t believ in extra work just to keep busy, or for symmetry’s sake. I generally do no training or topping even, and I keep lights angled at 10am and 2pm. That way there is no actual canopy, and they grow bushy as nature intended.
But if you want to train, consider a flux, which achieves the same result as scrog without the work involved with a net. See the work of @Silky_smooth1 on insta, or @Silky_smooth on growdiaries.com She has a masters in botany, lives in Amsterdam, and knows more about growing than any person I’ve communicated with.
Good luck and enjoy your harvest

I'm probably going to go with a SCROG with two plants but the same strain. The flux method seems to involve more work with the tieing down so I might aswell just use a net, thanks for your opinion though.

I prefer to supercrop to keep the canopy even and the plants the right height. I might top once but that's about it. As for scrog, I know it's popular but I've never been a fan. Takes more time to do it properly and fill up the netting than I want to spend in veg. I've seen some awesome grows using the scrog method but I can do a complete harvest from seed to flower in the time some spend vegging with scrog. Also lately I've been seeing many people apparently trying to scrog but all they have is a net with their plants growing straight up through it. Done properly scrogging will pay off if you're willing to wait for the scrog to fill out like it should.

A question that is very important is the strain.

No 2 plants will grow the same and anyone that gives you advice without knowing this will steer you wrong. To get the most out of your plant depends on the structure. You dont grow a bubba kush the same as an og. Ones short, squat, low to the ground with thick branches that will support well when the other is a straight vine that when topped will fall over even before flowering.

The stretch is also very important. Some strains will triple in height during the first few weeks of flower and others wont stretch at all. You have to take this into account also.

Small grows? Best to mainline. Threads here on how. Best yields and use of the light you have. Efficient use of time, as well. Perfect for multiple plants/strains done together. Avoid with some true indicas.
