can u show a pic of how u have them hanging sideways? I really wanted to do something like this but couldn't figure out how w/o some custom mount or drilling thru the base or something.

I just had a Holmes 16"(not that one) wall mount fan take a shit on me after only 6 months and that wasn't even 24 hrs a day, nor everyday. Took it apart and the weak point was a fucking plastic arm that held the METAL bar that made the fan oscillate. If they make that plastic part metal, this fan would last a long time buuuuuuut....motherfuckers.

Yeah i cant picture any way to do this that would wear out the motor/gears that turn it side to side.
My setup... Those two little fans move a shitload of air around the top of the canopy. They also block very little light being in the corners and as high up as they are.

I use the 5w to power them,i’ve tried the 12w but no difference,they are just crap,i find out that they are still elegible to return with amazon untill jan 31 so i need to find a solution before that!

How do you hang the towers sideways?i’ve never owned a tower,i’m used to regular fan that you can move the head 360degrees,up and down.

Yeah send that shit back.
These little guys move a LOT of air especially with the face guard removed. Overpriced at 30$, should be 20 or less. They do take up a good bit of space. Not much of an issue in a 5x5 but if its a small tent, probably not what your looking for...
Tower fans work ok too but i dont love them. These should be 15$ but they are 30 for some reason. Much smaller and fit the small tents better but i really dont like them as much as the lil blizzards.

I like your first ones,i think i will need to go with those and agree about the towers also cause they dont have all the rotation round fans has.i would really like to get the ones in the pic below but everywhere i looked and every manufacturer that makes them are out,those would be perfect cause they wouldnt take to much space and attach directly to the posts.i’m in a 3x3x6 not super small but still.

Everyone says those vivosun fans are junk and they are 30$ a piece. If the were well built and would last 5 years or more, i would happily pay 50 a piece. But they are cheap plastic junk.

I can only confirm about vivosun had to return an inlinefan after 3 weeks because it started to rattle,but i really need that clip lol,if the fans will fail i will cut the clip out and mount to another fan!but they will not be in stock untill february and i need a fix pretty soon before my junk fan stop working....so i think i will go with you suggestion on the first pic of your post and i will try to find a way to secure them.thanks everyone

All the fans, clip on, box and desk.
After a grow. Take them a part to clean and grease the bushings. Especially the cheap clip ons.
I use the below stuff to lube the fans. I have a couple cheap clip on that are three years old. One tried to die after one grow.. Blade stopped turning, sticky. A fresh clean and lubricant. Its going strong. The blade will free wheel pretty good after being turned off.
Grow room maintenance...

I've made too many holes in the corners of my tents over the years using hose clamps, so I avoid them now and use zip ties instead. This is a pretty simply fan mount, with a furring strip connected to the tent poles with zip ties, then the fan attacked to the furring strip also with zip ties. Super to raise and lower it, plus takes up very little space.
