What vegetable/fruit can I grow next to my 20/4 autoflower?

Hi everyone,

I'm growing an autoflower in a small grow box and I'm curious if it is possible to grow some other fruit or veggie in addition, in the same grow box.
For example, could I grow strawberries or tomatoes? Or even lettuce?

Some areas in my grow box gets less light, maybe those are ideal for some veggies/fruits? But since it's an auto I do grow at a 20/4 light schedule and I don't know if there are any fruits/veggies that would be able to handle that.

So my question to you experienced gardeners is:

What veggies/fruits do you think would be suitable to grow in a grow box besides an autoflower?

Curious to know your thoughts!

I would do lettuce. No height issues and unless your tent is super hot it will do well. Just choose varieties like romaine.

Herbs would work really good. Parsley, Cilantro, basil, etc.

I would recomend mostly herbs and flowers.
Tomatoas are very simular to weed in a lot of ways and attract a lot of the same pest multipling your risk factor. Strawberrys and other soft fruits love to mold and rot. Vining plants like cucs squashes and mellons wont play nice with others in a confined space. Ground veggies like cabage, lettuces, broc, coliflower wont do well they like it a good bit cooler then your pot plants do.
Of course any of these can be done successfully, there is just risk factors and optimization issues
I find marigolds nice, and if you dont mind the smell most the bugs that attack weed hate it. Rosemarry, cilantro, and some other cooking herbs have simular pest repelant properties.

As for your light issue, most plants, expescialy food crops, are day nutral, meaning they are going to progress though their life cycle as best they can as long as they are healthy, more light just means more avalible energy, i doubt your grow light light is blasting more photons then the sun mid summer, light burn is mostly something indoor growers deal with trying to push thing to their limit, fall and spring crops might be a lil more sensitive but if your not buring your buds i doubt it will burn maters corn peas beans or any other summer crop

What are the best practices for growing blue tulips in 2024? I'm particularly interested in tips for soil preparation, watering, and any specific conditions they thrive in. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I did some “pirat butterhead lettuce” I believe it was called it came out very good underneath my cannabis canopy with minimal light, I am interested in a separate tent dedicated to food though, maybe even some bonsai citrus

That’s what I did! Establish the herbs then can put them on the window sill and pick away!

I also read that basil can promote terpene production in weed!
