Man, if we wanted to find a lake or river antake a canoe or kayack or jetski out on it, you'd bet your bottom dollar that if there was anyone else in the vacinity you'd probably end up ebing told off by the police for noise or tresspass etc. The concept of taking a motorcross bike out into the hills and such, fairly non-existant in england, we have fences and hedges EVERYWHERE, anywhere you ight get away wiit it, such as the moors, they have strict laws forbidding it due to noise etc. I cannot say how envious i am of the outback lifestyle americans are able to live :( What i would do to be able to take the bike over the hills on a sunday afternoon, or take a jetski onto a lake. But noooo, that would disturb the fishermen who've paid arm and leg for their license to fish and all that lot. GAR!?

I'm about to go frigging nuts with my money and buy a set of knock off bubble bags  Although believe it or not i'm contemplating trying a year without money, see just how feasible it is.
i'd never really thought of that aspect of the uk ttt.. and you can't just hop on a dirt bike and cruise it around anywhere in the us, it helps if you life in a more rural area..i would surely get harrassed by the popo if i tried that.. but tons of peps ride them in the inner cities at cops pretty much leave them alone..

but as far as knock off bubble bags, i picked up some sprung bags and they didn't cost a ton and work well..

Sure there are pluses and minuses to living anywhere. You think you can just go ride anywhere in the US? Probably not. You have to go to the right places or you would get thrown off the land. There is a lot of open land here but depends on where you live. If you're close to a city, it's harder to find open land. If you're far from a city, you're probably surrounded by rednecks who pop out 10 kids and collect welfare. shit, maybe we should marry, you can move here and I'll go there ;) I don't want to motocross and I like the healthcare system in Europe. it's proven that most places in europe have a high standard of living. we work 40+ hours a week here and get 12 holidays a year. It's gross IMO.

Yeah, i don't doubt you still have your limitations, but in the UK i'm talking literally police state fascism! My parents have a house on a moore, a moore is a big fuck off wasteland with fuck all worth preserving, seeing, doing or anything. It's just a big fuck off area of mud stone grass and that shit, yet it is ocmpletely illegal to use a motorbike on in. You either walk, cycle, or you'll find the police going home with your bike, not you. The only place to date that i've managed to have an enjoyable time dirtbiking, well the only reason wew were there was because we had keys and permission.

The UK is criminal when it comes to cars, bikes, anything "fun". You can't have fun without health and safety regulations, oh deary me no no no or without a license to do so.

just about everything. i'm near the coast as well.
sweet... i don't do well in big boats in the open ocean.. a few years ago a friend and i from work went out on a chartered boat for strippers... i was inside puking the whole time and said to meself that i would get up when we got into the fish.. well, no one was really catching much, so i decided to get up and do a lil fishing anyhoo's.. the first mate put on a new bait, i threw it out and landed a 40 inch'er and took the pool.. it was pretty awesome.. biggest fish of me life..
but i like to do some fresh water around here, ,and usually just get some large mouth's and pickeral and crappies are big around here..

fdd'ed, you still have your float tube as well?? i've not gotten one yet, but i'd still love to, or maybe a small kayak..

Man, that really sucks - In the US we have 4 wheeling parks where there are trails one follows through mudholes etc. Do you have anything like that ?

I bought myself a philly cheese steak this weekend and thought I was spoiling myself. I've been trying to not buy any food elsewhere, and make my own. It's a lot harder than I had thought.

Also, I'm broke a shit. Times is tough!

We do have places like that, certainly not on any fantastic scale, and on the whole the reason they exist is because it is private land and someone has turned it into a venture, meaning you need to pay to drive in the mud. As i say, i'm sure there must be the odd place here and there, but on the whole the concept of loud noisy polluting pesky dirt bikes is frowned on and forbidden, tis a great shame. Then again you probably have big 4x4 parks and such bigger than entire counties here

"Lee Pearse, 27, is still paying for the bike — but it's about to be turned into a cube of metal.
His nephew, Lee Lawrence, 17, of Fanhams Road, Ware, was stopped by police when he rode the bike onto a bridleway near the gravel pits at Chapmore End, where he and his friends were riding.
Although he was unaware that the gravel path was a public highway, and there were no signs to warn him, an officer confiscated the vehicle and one ridden by his friend, on the spot."

The bbig irony is that the police aptrol these areas to catch bikers, riding wouldn't you know it, motorcross bikes.

FDD, those lures look gorgeous, very fancy.

yah, i know around me we have what they call the pine barrens.. they cover a large portion of my state, and lots of people go back in there and ride their bikes and 4 x 4's.. they have all kinds of what they call pits and on the weekends their are tons of people out there riding and partying.. some of the places on the state land your not allowed to ride on, but there are tons of place out that way to ride if you know where your going, as its super easy to get lost.. i know there's a fishing spot i go to back in one area that i only know where to turn as there is a budweiser can nailed to a tree at the appropriate trail... its pretty funny...

Heh, that sounds fab :) Is that the new jerseyt pine barrens? Always fancied visitng for some camping and hiking and such.I often watch youtube video's of 4x4 events, rock crawlers and such, and just looks liuke a great bit of casual fun, albeit sometimes a touch pricey with some of their vehicles. Even that though, the police in the UK would stop if they felt like it, public order act, they'll claim you need a license to meet up together and as such must all leave.

I just got an increase in hours at work, so i might be able to buyself something special in a few months time, i'm thinking a vaporizer :) fuck this tobacco addiction
