What was your longest Auto Veg Time?

Hello! As title says.
I am currently growing 2x Bruce Banger Auto, same genetics, same date of germination, 5th week, same conditions. Left plant is already flowering, the right one is still in Veg?
Do you have any similar experience? Is it normal?

One on the right looks as if it’s begging the stretch. All looks good to me :)

Longest I’ve had was this cup im growing now. Took over 8 weeks to flower!

On average mine enter stretch around week 3-4 :)

Oh yee, the one on the left side is nice and getting bigger. My concern is that since they grew in same environment and are same genetics, I would expect the one on right side be same as the one on the left.
She is showing some preflowers and sex, but that's it. She keeps growing leaves a lot!

Oomg one cap! You grow it outside right? Any fertz?
Nah was in a tent for first 4-5 weeks then has to take it out as had no space. Just been in the sunshine since then.

Yes, lots lol. I mix grow and bloom 50/50. Silicon, calmag, root stimulant, bio wetter (reduces surface tension in water) and oath soil balance (microbes)

What is silicon good for?

Keeps stems strong, reduces leaf drop. The one I use also contains bio stimulants which help with photosynthesis. This one here;

The one I'm growing now is the longest it's taken an auto. 6 weeks in the solo cup before flower. Autos seem pretty sturdy and adaptable to me.

After 20 yrs growing autos, I've yet to set a time when veg is done.....that being said, most of mine have flowered at about 3 weeks. Very few exceptions, if any.

I don’t really concern myself with actual veg times - as differences between breeders definitely show.

Most autos are first gen and can run all over the place. Some breeders “ work “ the strains for more stability but it’s always a crap shoot. I have had big autos and small autos with everything in between.

One particular auto ( ultraviolet ) literally began flowering on day 21 from germ. I have learned over the years some ways to hedge them better at the start - 24/0 or 20/4 upfront to give it the most energy to root out and set structure BEFORE it transition.
Then after Stretch drop to 18/6.

I even drop to regular 12/12 on occasion after stretch and budset just like a regular photo - it is literally flowering anyways. So they work out with regular flowering plants in same tent.

Another way is to really aerate the soil medium ( if using peat mix ) with up to 30% or so of larger perlite / pumice.

Also letting a good balanced medium do all the feeding from the start …. No extra this and that .

But coco / dwc / hempy typically will grow them larger.

Because of unpredictable results - they are what they are.

Is it possible to prolong Veg by stressing(slightly stunning) plant?
What is the starter of flowering phase for autos? Time? Hormones? Certain plant development?

Autos are not light dependent to flower , so trying to guess when it will happen won’t help. Most autos can go under 100 days - some “ supers or xxl “ a bit longer. Too many different autos strains to guage a uniform time.

Autos ( modern offerings) are more resilient than say 15-20 years ago …. Early autos were very unstable.

You literally sneezed on them and they would stunt .
Now you pretty much top / LST / supercrop / transplant and more without much issue . The biggest fuckup among auto growers is overwatering / overfeeding.

Newer autos are better in potency than years ago too.

Remember you can also run photos in a similar “ auto “ like grow with 12/12 seed starts.

I mean, so many times I saw ppl saying that photoperiod will always be more potent then Auto, but then you see Fast Buds lab results showing 28% Thc in their auto plants.

Take ANY lab report - whether auto or photo with a grain of salt.

“ Paper numbers “ on a report often does not reflect how well you metabolize it. Everyone is different when they consume cannabis. I never judge plants on “ lab reports “ or even “ smoke reports “ …. Only your body and the way you feel the “ high “ is all that’s important.
