What week are the leaves useless

I know you should never take the leaves off unless their already dead but i'm just curious at about what week are the buds at their max potential and the leaves usually uselss i only ask this because on of my large plants been having problems for a while now and lost alot of leaves still growing good but i'm guessing it wont last long to finish im in the 5th week as of now its suggest to flower them for 8 weeks

Any pix you could show to give us an idea on what is going on? I would say it is never good to remove them, until they die off.

ya, it's never good to remove the fan leaves. Even when you start harvest, I wouldn't remove the leaves more than a day before you cut the plant down.

Yea man I went through same thing. I'm only a week ahead of you and some of my flowering plants have WAY less fans than the other 2... I will say, my buds are still getting bigger even with few big leaves. Check it out in my sig... MY FIRST GROW, so I know it's not very awesome like some ppls, but I am producing sticky goodness!!!

I mean you can do a lot of cutting to your plants, I think it just slows the whole thing down. I topped 2 and left 2 untopped... i will be topping from now on. You can lollipop them too...

i'll be posting some pics later today once the lights are on my fan leaves on my largest plant been all died off before the 5th week but the buds continued to grow and their about the same size as the buds on my other plants it's just the leaves on that plant has been dying rapidly its been through alot i guess but i only got a few more weeks to go so hopefully it'll stick around got some cal-mag finally pics will be up soon tho

you think it was a magnesium deficiency? if so, for the future you can get epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) and add 2 tsp per gallon to fix the deficiency. or foliar spray for faster uptake

yea i've been using epson salt so i dunno what the problem is really i managed to get it under control a little but i dont know i will see how it looks today either way im good has decent size buds on them and my other 2 plants are doing very good
