What will happen to my clone now that i cut off all the fan leaves?

The fan leaves on my clones got toasted by the sun. What's going to happen to my clones? will they grow new ones and will it effect the yield?

Depends on what stage the plant was in before you butchered it. I cut off most of the fans off some autos that were 3-4 weeks from finishing. The new growth was albino white and the product was worthless to smoke. I scrapped 4 plants learning not to trim fans. Here's why -- plants use small organelles to turn light into a form of energy the plant can use. These small organs grow on the underside of the biggest leaves. By eliminating so many fans you are inhibiting their ability to photosynthesis. Don't do that again! BigSteve.

One clone is only 6 inches and the other is 4 inches. There's new leaves already growing. Yeah, I wont do that again. It's my first time growing outdoors and i didnt know im not supposed to put clones in direct sunlight straight from the shop. Ill post a pic tomorrow.

It will reduce your yield of fan leaves lol

Most people just cut the tips of the fan leaves, but at least you stopped short of the node which could have messed up your bud site.

But bud sites look ok. Let the rest of the stem fall off when its ready, or you can still mess the bud site up.

Just have to keep the right nutes going to the plant because it doesn't have many fan leaves to draw from.

See some deficiency in a few leaves, but not bad.

It'll be cool

Above is an example of why everyone should test and weigh opinions found on the Internet.

Pretty much ZERO correct information of any type.

Well… it all depends on you !
Have you been extra good, [re: helping little old ladies]
If good, then the Pot Fairy will come down tonight and cast a special spell on your plants and they will live despite a owner whom doesn’t always do what’s best…
Which means you’ve been bad, so the Pot Fairy will come down on your plants tonight and lay little fairy turds in and around your unlucky plants….
Good Luck Man….
PS
The Fairy turds, look exactly like vermiculite…
---------------------
No one can tell you what will happen next...
Or what your yield will be...

blah blah blah most people only cut the ends of the fan leaves on clones

If you rip off the fan leaf stem it will pull some material from what was gonna be a bud site or what will be a branch.

Excuse me super geniuses who say yield will be reduced lol

WTF eva its gonna be all right as long as he keeps ph and nutes right.

Just deal with the cause of the deficiency in the few spots, not so sure its the sun.

The fan leaf stem is not a branch idiot, its a fan leaf stem.

as long as it isnt an auto you will be fine you may have to veg it longer if its outdoor than it would depend on when you should plant in your area and if the clone is not hardened off yet it doesnt matter ether way you can only do what you can do i would not sweat it

Chill. They will be fine. At six and four inches, they will grow more fan leaves at the new nodes. Hell, I strip mine about 8 inches up from the ground. I helps keep the bugs down. My plants grow just fine with good results. Read up with some Ed Rosenthal and Jose. Keep an eye on your ph and how much fert you give them. Babies don't need much. Don't let some of the jackasses on this sight get to you. We all had to learn sometime.

You will be fine,I seriously don't think it will matter much to trim, its too early to tell, and plenty of veg to go. I have always trimmed my fan leaves from my clones right after they have been cut from the mother, I grow my clones in rockwool and I have found out the big fan leaves tend to fall down anyways from the humidity in the dome. Just my thought...
